2 Request for Proposal Howell Public Schools Used School Buses INTRODUCTION The Livingston Educational Service Agency (LESA) is requesting sealed bids for lease-returned or previously owned school buses for Howell Public Schools. The buses being bid must meet all State of Michigan and Federal requirements for school buses. SPECIFICATIONS: LESA will consider school buses up to two years old that can be delivered by August 31, All remaining warranties must be transferable with the bus and a copy of the original warranty must be supplied with the bid. All bid prices are to include complete costs to LESA. The attached specification list is to be used as a guideline and all differences to the specifications must be submitted in writing on a separate piece of paper, along with the complete specifications of each unit bid and odometer reading as noted on the bid form. LESA is interested in purchasing the following: Three buses, 2-3 years old, with no more than 30,000 miles All buses will have a rated passenger capacity of 77. Voluntary alternate proposals may be submitted with any combination of the above with an average fleet age no greater than three years old. All pricing will be valid through September 30, LESA reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities. Also, the board reserves the right to trade or not trade any of their existing buses. TIMELINE: All bids are to be mailed or hand delivered to the LESA, located at 1425 W. Grand River, Howell, MI 48843, by 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must contain the required affidavits. Bids are to be sealed and marked Sealed Bid: Howell Schools Used Buses.
