The workshop will cover both topics of e-government and Smart City that appear independent but are crossly linked in many ways for public administration as well as public services. To improve the public services using ICT for citizens at local level, the integration of both programs of e-government and Smart City is critical and should be considered at the holistic manner. During the workshop, participants will learn each topic and also find the linkages between e-government and Smart City for local and city governments. 2 Session 1: e-government and Smart City Policy This session will discuss the diffusion, policy and impact of e-government and smart city as a key enabler for economic and social development. Moreover, the participants will discuss problems and challenges they are facing in promoting e-government and smart city implementation. In addition, this session will discuss challenges and opportunities in managing urban infrastructure and utility.
