6 Review process of the 2015 Questionnaire 2017: NUACs, ESTAT, Commission DGs and other urban level actors consulted on the 2015 version of the questionnaire (17 comments received, mainly form NUACs and EC colleagues) February-March 2018: second round of consultations with ESTAT and NUACs on the new format of the questionnaire. A number of items have been re-introduced (quality of streets and buildings). New items were added (i.e. cities as good place to live for elderly/families with young children, presence of social service facilities, community centres). May 2018: Call for tender ready to be launched Fine-tuning of the question on the quality of local public administration

7 2018 Questionnaire: main changes New questions have been added to capture new and emerging issues in European cities: Cities as good place to live for minorities and specific groups Quality of public transport Safety Financial situation of households in European cities Existing questions have been rephrased and new questions added to be able to benchmark the cities to the region/country (i.e. EU-SILC survey, WorldPoll Gallup survey) Background questions Rephrased following the ESTAT Standardised Social variables Guidelines (February 2018).
