1 General Terms and Conditions of Participation in the Event Good Governance in Sport and Gender Equality These are the terms (the Agreement ) that govern participant s participation in the event entitled Good Governance and Gender Equality in Sport. By registering for the event Good Governance and Gender Equality in Sport participant is agreeing to these terms, which form a legal contract between the Croatian Olympic Committee and the registered participant ( you ). If a person is registering on behalf of another, it is the responsibility of the person who is registering to ensure that the person who is participating is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration the person who is registering is warranting that he/she has made the person who is participating aware of these terms and that the person who is participating has accepted these terms. 1. Project 1.1. The GETZ project (hereafter referred to as the Project) is co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union The Project is organised by the consortium of universities and sport organisations The University of Worcester is the coordinator of the Project. 1

2 1.4. As the coordinator of the Project, the University of Worcester is responsible for the implementation of the Project activities to the European Commission The Croatian Olympic Committee is the partner organisation in the Project. 2. Event 2.1. The event Good Governance and Gender Equality in Sport (hereafter referred to as the Event) is organised within the Project as the first public event which is organised in direct relation to the production of intellectual outputs of the project i.e. the gender equality toolkit for generation Z. The Event also serves for dissemination purposes According to the plan for the implementation of activities of the Project, the Event takes place at Zagreb, Croatia. 3. Organiser 3.1. The Croatian Olympic Committee (hereafter referred to as the Organiser) is responsible for the organisation of the Event. 4. Registration 4.1. Participants may only register using the provided online registration form The registration form can be found at the following link: 5. Admittance criteria 5.1. Registration is open to sport organisations and scientific and educational institutions from the EU Member States Participation is open to a limited number of participants If more registrations are received than space allows, the Organiser will create a waiting list and inform the participants of their position on the list. 2

3 5.4. Registrations are reviewed in accordance with the following admittance criteria (in the following order): 1. The type of organisation, 2. The order in which the registrations are received Regarding the type of organisation, priority is given to (in the following order): 1. Sport organisations on national and local levels, 2. Scientific and educational institutions and organisations, 3. Organisations active in the field of gender equality. 6. Confirmation of participation 6.1. Once officially registered, the Organiser will review registrations and send confirmations of participation to registered participants in accordance with the admittance criteria. 7. Substitution 7.1. A registered participant can authorize another individual from the same organisation to attend the Event in his/her stead at any time by notifying the Organiser in writing Notifications have to be sent to the following address: alma.papic@hoo.hr. 8. Cancellation and non-participation in the Event 8.1. The registration by the participants is regarded as the final promise of participation in the Event If participation in a particular case is not possible despite the registration, this must be notified to the Organiser immediately and no later than Mid-day on 16 November Notifications have to be sent to the following address: alma.papic@hoo.hr. 3

4 9. Scope of services 9.1. Services provided by the Organiser include the participation in the Event, lunch and refreshments during the breaks. 10. Travel expenses / overnight accommodation / room reservation Costs for travel and overnight accommodation of participants are not paid by the Organiser The participants are responsible for reserving and paying for these expenses themselves. 11. Conference content Participants acknowledge and agree that the Organiser, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, venue and time. 12. Event cancellation The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Event wholly or in part in case of an insufficient number of participants, organisational reasons, changes of availability of speakers, force majeure or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the Event impossible and/or not worthwhile or that would lead to the Organiser incurring unreasonable expenses in executing the event The Organiser shall immediately inform participants of such changes Should the Event be cancelled by the Organiser for organisational reasons or as a result of force majeure, as outlined above, participants may not assert any further claims and any such claims shall be excluded. 4

5 12.4. This also applies to compensation claims for travel and accommodation costs and lost working hours. 13. Media By attending the Event, participants acknowledge and agree to the Organiser the right at the Event to record, film, photograph or capture their likeness in any media now available and hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from participants or any payment to participants This grant to the Organiser includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use and/or disseminate the media. 14. GDPR By registering for the Event, participants give their consent to the processing of their personal data to the extent necessary for the achievement of the objectives of the Project The Organiser guarantees that personal data relating to participants are processed according to the rules set by the Regulation (EC) No 45/2001. Data may be archived by the Organiser By registering for the Event, participants understand that they have the right, as data subject, to access data relating to them, to be informed about the existence and the extent of data processing, to rectify incorrect personal data as the case may be and to oppose further processing on serious and legitimate grounds. 6 withdrawn by informing the Organiser at the address mentioned above. 15. Governing law and jurisdiction This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia The exclusive court of jurisdiction shall be the competent court in Zagreb, Croatia. 6
