Invites sealed tenders in prescribed format, on limited tender basis from approved Survey Agencies/contractors for following work: Topographic Survey for Feasibility Study & cost estimation including sub soil Investigation of bridge at Km over River Barak & bridge at Km over River Makru on Jiribam Barak Road on NH-53 in Manipur as detailed below: Sl. Area (hectare) 1 Bridge over river Barak at km on Jiribam-Barak road of NH-53 (renamed as NH-37) in Manipur. 2 Bridge over river Makru at km on Jiribam-Barak road of NH-53 (renamed as NH-37) in Manipur Approx length of land/river to be surveyed 1700 m (850 m U/s & 850 m D/s of existing bridge) 2200 m (600 m on U/s and 1600 m D/s of existing bridge) The location map and area to be surveyed for Makru river and Barak river is shown on figure 1 & 2 respectively. Estimated cost of work is Rs 9,75,000 (Rupees nine lacs seventy five thousand only) 1.2 Points to be noted Works envisaged under this contract are required to be completed in all respects within the stipulated time. The above work is important and time bound hence, the agency has to deploy sufficient staff to complete the work as per the target The tender document consists of the following: 1. Notice inviting limited tenders 2. Annexure-I: General terms and conditions 3. Annexure II: Terms of reference 4. Annexure III: Schedule of quantities 5. Annexure IV: Quality assurance plan 6. Annexure V: Format for Power of Attorney 7. 3 up to hrs on and will be opened at 15.30hrs. on Delayed tenders shall not be entertained. Tenders will be valid for 60 (sixty) days from the date of opening of tenders The contract shall be governed by the documents listed in Para above RITES Ltd. Reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals without assigning any reasons. No tenderer shall have any cause of action or claim against RITES Ltd for rejection of their tender This is not an open tender. NIT letter with tender documents has been issued only to agencies approved by Competent Authority through speed post. In this Tender Joint Venture is NOT APPLICABLE It is tenderers responsibility to ensure that complete tender document as received from RITES shall be filled in and submitted to RITES within the due date and time as mentioned in Para above. In case of any discrepancy is noted at any stage, Tender/contract will summarily be rejected/cancelled at tenderer s risk and suitable action against contractor shall be initiated in such case A Demand Draft from a Scheduled Bank for Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) drawn in favour of RITES Ltd., Gurgaon and payable at Gurgaon, should accompany your tenders towards Earnest Money Deposit (EMD).Tenders received without appropriate EMD shall not be considered as valid. Representatives of bidders whose tenders are received late shall not be allowed to attend the opening of the tenders. EMD of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned. Amount of EMD of successful bidder shall be retained as initial security deposit and will be released along with retention money Successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Guarantee of 5% of the contract amount in favour of RITES Ltd. within 15 days of letter of award. The performance guarantee shall be submitted in the form of Demand Draft or Bank Guarantee from a nationalized bank except Bank of India. This Performance Guarantee shall be valid upto 60 days after the end of completion period and after this period it will be returned to Contractor. RITES,, Gurgaon, Haryana, reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders and also not bind itself to accept the lowest bid at its discretion without assigning any reason whatsoever. 6 Approximate length of the area to be surveyed from C.L. of existing bridge across river Barak is 0.85 km and 0.85 km toward U/s & D/s of the river respectively. The extent of land to be surveyed in other direction is 100 m beyond the top of high banks of river and 50 m beyond the hill side edge of NH-53 whichever is more. Page 6
