Improvement from the traditional methods of Governance Agent of Change for cutting though difficult issues: Reach to Remotely located citizens, awareness of government, corruption, revenue collection, security, etc Based on reform and change of perspective on Service Delivery A powerful tool for the Civil Servants Integration of Government Services across ministries Based on assessment of National Priorities for Government Services egov is NOT simply computerizing ministries and automating 2

3 Strategic Objectives Wide adoption of ICTs in order to improve all aspects of Afghan life, including education, health, employment and access to information. Growth of the local ICTs industry, in order to foster investment and employment promotion in this area; and Use of ICTs to increase Government efficiency and to effectively deliver improved social services. 3
