2 TIME could be up for the House of Lords as a debate to scrap the second chamber has been tabled for Parliament on June 18. A petition to force a debate on a referendum on the future of the House of Lords has so far gathered more than 145,500 signatures. Just 10,000 are required to warrant a Government response. 3 More than 145,800 people have signed a petition to hold a referendum on the future of the Lords Peers have come under intense criticism from Eurosceptics in recent weeks for what they view as attempting to water down - and potentially derail - Theresa May s Brexit plans. The Lords has already dealt 10 defeats to the Government on its EU Withdrawal Bill. Peers voted for a series of amendments to the landmark legislation which include changes which could leave the door open for continued membership of a customs union and a provision to ensure the Commons has a genuine meaningful vote on the final deal. The amendments need to be agreed by MPs before they become binding. 5 But every Brexit vote in the Commons leaves the Prime Minister, whose working majority is just 13, open to defeat, and at least a dozen Tory rebels have shown they are willing to vote against the Government. Iain Duncan Smith voiced his outrage at the unrepresentative House of Lords after peers defeated the Government again on Monday night. And International Trade Secretary Liam Fox accused peers of trying to block the democratic will of the British people. But supporters of the Lords say peers are simply doing their job by scrutinising legislation handed to them by the Commons. 6 Voters who signed an online poll to force a debate on the future of the second chamber have now been sent letters from Parliament s petitions team which reads: Parliament is going to debate the petition you signed. The debate is scheduled for 18th June Once the debate has happened we will a video and transcript. The petition was started in February this year and calls on Parliament to give the electorate a referendum on the abolition of the House of Lords. It reads: The House of Lords is a place of patronage where unelected and unaccountable individuals hold a disproportionate amount of in uence and power which can be used to frustrate the elected representatives of the people. HUMAN SYNTHESIS Comments: It is quite unbelieveable how the House of Lords are juggling around with our legal system, setting traps by amending the existing articles in the leave EU agreements, cunningly hidden in legal jargon and rhetorics by lawyers, no doubt paid for by the state. The members of the HOL have every reason to scupper Brexit. At least 70 of the members are, or will be receiving generous pensions from Brussels. Around 80% are Freemasonry members controlled by the Illuminati which is out to destroy all the European borders and national adherence, together with democracy and human rights. A large proportion of the members belong to the global elite as owners of large, worldspanning companies, greedily working for a New World Order, turning most of the people into a slave like race, serving their greedy masters. The people, who do not have access to the wealth or powerful legal advice of the global elite, have only our country s unwritten constitution and democracy for support, which we PROMISE, will be guarded by our very lives.
