FIREFIGHTING MEASURES Suitable Extinguishing Media: Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: Specific Hazards in Case of Fire: Protective Equipment / Precautions: Water Fog, Dry Chemical, Foam, and CO 2 High flow water jet 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal Precautions: Environmental Precautions: Methods / Materials for Containment and Clean up: 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Safe Handling Procedures: Safe Storage Procedures w/ Incompatibles: Avoid heavy concentrations of dust. Heavy concentrations of dust mixed with air can produce an explosive environment in the presence of an ignition source. Positive pressure, self-contained respiratory protection and protective clothing should be worn by firefighters in areas where product is stored. Depending on the extent of release, consider the need for firefighters/emergency responders with adequate personal protective equipment for cleaning up. Do not eat, drink or smoke while cleaning up. See section 8 for personal protective equipment. See section 7 for handling instructions. Prevent spills from entering storm sewers or drains and contact with soil. Contain spill. Avoid dusting if possible. Cover with an absorbent material (treated sawdust, diatomaceous earth, sand). Shovel up and dispose of at an appropriate waste facility in accordance with current applicable laws and regulations. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact.
