2 1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Ambada Stone mine project covering an area of 1.00Hect for mining of minor mineral Stone at village-ambada, Tehsil-Amla, District-Betul. The mining plan has been approved by Directorate of Geology & Mining M P vides letter no on dtd. 19/12/2017. The Collector office (Khanij Shakha) Betul vide letter No. /Khanij/1/17/1553, dated- 29/11/2017. Designation : Individual Owner Brief description of nature of the project: Mining of Stone is proposed in the lease area 1.00Hect (Pvt. Land) at village- Ambada, Tehsil Amla, District Betul. Mining will be carried out by Semi Mechanized opencast method. The total mineable reserve Available is 69,300 Cu.mt. Proposed production of Stone is Max 6,320 Cu.mt/year. The Gazette of India, Department of MoEF & CC dated 15/01/2016 and SEIAA O.M. No , Date 24/03/2016 the project comes under B2 Category and Environmental Clearance is required from DEIAA. Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region: The basic objective of the project is to effective utilization of material in the region. Stone is the most commonly used in road, building construction etc. and will be sold to nearby markets to fulfill the requirements of local people. Demand Supply gap: Page 3

4 Considering the demand of mineral sufficient availability of the mineral in the area, it is essential to have Stone mine to sustain the supply of mineral for various purposes. Imports v/s Indigenous production: This is indigenous production. This will neither exported nor imported. Export Possibility: Not Exported. Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the project: The total number of persons engaged in the mining operation will be persons including skilled and unskilled and these are deployed from nearby villages. 3. PROJECT DESCRIPTION Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects: No Interlinked or Interdependent project. 6 Satellite Image of the Mining Area: Details of Alternate Site Considered and the Basis of Selecting the Proposed Site, Particularly the Environmental Considerations Gone Into Should Be Highlighted: Mining is site specific project hence no alternate site is considered. Size/Magnitude of Operation: The proposed production of Stone is Max 6,320 Cu.mt/year from the area of 1.00Hectares by open cast Semi Mechanized method of mining. Geology: Detailed regional geology and local geology are given in mining plan. Raw material required along with estimated quantity, likely source, marketing area of final products, mode of transport of raw material and finished product: Page 6

7 The proposed mining is Stone Mining Lease. The mineral will be used for various purposes. No raw material will be required to dependent industries. Resource optimization/ recycling and reuse envisaged in the project, if any, should be briefly outlined: Not applicable. Availability of water its source, energy/power requirement and source: The total water requirement for the project is estimated 3-8 KLD for mining, spraying and domestic uses and will be sourced from nearby villages. No electricity is required. Equipment & Machineries: Mining/excavation will be done according to the proposed manner of Semi Mechanized Method workings and some machineries i.e. Hydraulic Excavator, Dumpers, Tractor & Water Tank, Jack Hammer, Wagon Drill will be required to deploy on hire basis for transport purpose. 4. SITE ANALYSIS Connectivity: The village-ambada, nearest population center is 0.80 km away from the mining area, it is connected by roads. The District Headquarters of Betul is at a distance of 17 km by road. Land form, land use and land ownership: The land covers under the mining lease area as under: District & State Tehsil Village Khasra No. Area in hect. Mineral Name Betul, MP Amla Ambada 413/1, 413/ Basalt (Deccan Trap) Topography: Surface & Geological Plan has been prepared on a scale of 1:1000 and contours have been shown at an interval of 2.0 mts. 8 area is south direction. The highest elevation of the area is mrl. No Nallah/ water bodies exist in the core area. Existing Land use Pattern: The mining lease area is Pvt. Land. There is no village or hutments within the mining area. Existing Infrastructure: No infrastructure is existing within lease area. Soil Classification: Light pale yellow soil with 0.2 meters average thickness above the Sand occupying the undulating ground. The soil, overburden and mineral reject, so generated during the course of quarry operation will be stacked near the southern lease boundary for reclamation purpose. Social Infrastructure: The infrastructure like, toilets, first aid stations etc. will be developed at mine site. The nearest village is Ambada, health & educational facilities (in the form of primary and secondary schools) are available there. Communication services like post office and telephones are available in the nearby village. Most of the villagers are having mobile phones. 5. PLANNING BRIEF Planning Concept: It is propose to produce Stone is Max 6,320 Cu.mt/year materials from the mining area. It is situated in Betul District of M P. Population Projection: Man power requirement for mining is estimated to be Nos. Most of the employees will be recruited from neighboring village depending upon the availability of skilled & unskilled people. No significant influx of people is anticipated in the area. Page 8

9 Land use Planning: The mining lease area is Pvt. Land. Assessment of infrastructure demand (physical and social): Lessee will assess the demand of infrastructure (Physical & Social) in nearby area of the proposed mine site and same will be developed under social work. Amenities/Facilities: The mine site office, first aid room & rest shelter are existing in the lease area. Workers are provided with rest shelters and no houses are provided to any worker as they are deployed from nearby village. Clean drinking water is provided. 6. PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE S. Green Belt Green belt development program will be made in successive phase depending upon the immediate need, priority, availability of land and sufficient ground water. A total no of proposed plantation is 30 saplings per year. 5. 10 10. Power Requirement N.A. 7. REHABILITATION & RESETTLEMENT PLAN There is no human settlement within the mining area. No human settlement will be disturbed due to the mining activity. So, no Rehabilitation and Resettlement is proposed. 8. PROJECT SCHEDULE Proposed schedule and approval for implementation The Proposed project shall be established after getting the Environmental Clearance from DEIAA. Project cost estimation Estimated Project Cost for the proposed project is Rs. 25 Lacs. 9. ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL Project will create direct & indirect employment opportunities within the surrounding region. Unit will use good faith efforts to employ local people from the nearby villages depending upon the availability of skilled & unskilled man power surrounding the project site. Distribution of plants among the local villagers to plan to plant more and more tree species so, as raised the aesthetic beauty of the area.
