5 Sanitary features Improved Clean-ability and Inspection Visual and obvious improvements - will set new standards Permeate side can be CIP cleaned Inspection - a future must have feature in some applications Fast drainable = fast CIP = less consumption of water & chemicals All benefits are NOT fully investigated and some benefits not yet a demand FDA approved plastic, CIP limitation in the membrane no glue 5

6 Energy & Efficiency Improved Not rocket science, but combining known features Pressure drop calculation confirms: less energy for equal turbulence Tested and confirmed by end-users 20-30% flux improvement with optimal = uniform Trans Membrane Pressure (TMP) End users own in house test report: HP pilot was 6 times as energy efficient at high solids load and at least twice as efficient at low solids load compared to present production data 6
