9 PV Laboratory Capability Accreditation Status In July 2015 KACST PV Lab has passed CBTL Lab Accreditation by GAC (GCC Regional Accreditation Body), Audit conducted in late August 2016, Accreditation granted in February 2017 (ILAC-MRA) The Accreditation Process includes ISO/IEC 17025, Quality Management System and IEC61215 and IEC61730, Photovoltaic Module Test Procedures, as well as EN : for sand storm test. The Accreditation Audit was completed with Excellence. NO Non-Conformances to the relevant Standards noticed. Accreditation from an ILAC MRA Member ensures global recognition of the Accredited Laboratory Based on KACST owning a Pilot Module Manufacturing Line, GAC recommends for KACST PV Lab to be the Global Reference Lab providing Reference PV Modules to other global PV Laboratories First Photovoltaic Laboratory of this kind in the Middle East 8
