18 OPTION 2 SURFACE DRESSING DUST PALLIATIVE THIS IS A MIXTURE OF BITUMEN AND BITUMEN OIL TO ENSURE A GOOD PENETRATION IN TO THE BASE AND THE SPREADING OF CRUSHER DUST OR RIVER SAND OVER THE TREATED AREA SAND SEAL IT IS BASICALLY THE SAME AS ABOVE IN STEAD OF BITUMEN WE USE CATIONIC SPRAY GRADE EMULSIONS AND 18

19 GRAVE SEAL THE USE OF A MODIFY BINDER USE AVAILABLE MATERIALS ON SITE GRAVEL EMULSION THIS IS WHERE BITUMEN EMULSION AND GRADE MATERIALS ARE MIXED AND THE SPREAD BY GRADER AND CAN BE MIXED AND STORED WHEN PREPARING THE SURFACE 19

20 VILLAGE INVOLVEMENT KENYA THEY HAVE A PROJECT WHERE THE VILLAGERS DO THE SURFACING OF THE ROAD UNDER SUPERVISION FORM THE ROADS DEPARTMENT THE CONTRACTOR BUILD THE BASE AND THE PEOPLE IN THE VILLAGE DO THE SURFING PAYMENT FOR MATERIAL IS DIRECT TO THE SUPPLIER BY THE ROADS DEPARTMENT 20
