Flue systems The following requirements regrding design nd instlltion pply to flue systems f ondensing omustion equipment: Pri to strting wk on the flue system, your heting ontrt should onfer with the responsile flue gs inspet [where pplile]. Gs omustion equipment must e onneted to the domesti himney on the sme flo where it is instlled (no trnsition through seprting eilings). Here, differentition is required s to whether the ondensing oiler should e instlled in the living spe (oupied rooms) in the non-living spe (instlltion room). Siting the Vitodens in the living spe is fesile, sujet to the flue inside the living spe eing routed inside protetive pipe nd eing surrounded y ventiltion ir (lned flue system, room seled opertion). s speil se, instlltion in the living spe is lso fesile f open flue opertion, provided onnetion piee with seondry ventiltion up to the shft (opertion with interonneted room ir supply) is provided (see pge 40). However, in tht se the instlltion room would require n dequtely sized ventiltion ir perture to the outside (ding to TRGI 008). Rted heting output up to 50 kw: 50 m 75 m Rted heting output ove 50 kw (e.g. Vitodens 00-W from 60 kw multi oiler system): 50 m plus m f eh kw ove 50 kw The ountry-speifi regultions (whih my inlude the TR Gs nd ÖVGW guidelines) pply to the instlltion of this ppline. The plin flue pipe must e type pproved y the Deutshes Institut für utehnik (DIt) [Germny] (open flue opertion). The tightness test (overpressure test) y the flue gs inspet during ommissioning s well s the verifition of the "Generl uilding Regultions pprovl" y the DIt my e omitted f this type of onstrution. The omustion ir is supplied nd the flue gs extrted through one onentri oxil pipe (lned flue system). The omustion ir is supplied through the nnulr gp etween the externl luminium ventiltion ir pipe nd the flue. Flue gses re extrted through the internl plsti pipe (PPs). F lned flue systems tested together with the wll mounted gs oiler, there is no requirement f tightness test (positive pressure test) during ommissioning y the flue gs inspet. In this se, we reommend tht your heting ontrt rries out simple tightness test during the ommissioning of your system. F this it would e suffiient to hek the O onentrtion in the omustion ir t the nnulr gp of the lned flue pipe. The flue pipe is deemed to e gs-tight if the O onentrtion in the omustion ir is no higher thn 0. % the O onentrtion is t lest 0.6 %. If higher O lower O vlues re estlished, hek the flue system f tightness y pressure testing. The flue pipe should e designed s sht nd stright s possile. If ends re unvoidle, do not instll them diretly one fter nother. It must e possile to test nd len the entire flue gs pth s required. In dne with the FeuVO [hek lol fire regultions], ventiltion ir perture is required in the instlltion room f totl rted heting output of 00 kw me. This lso pplies to types tht hve een tested f tightness (...x ). In onjuntion with the onentri oxil pipe (lned flue system), the surfe temperture of the Vitodens nd tht of the lned flue system do not exeed 85 t ny point. Therefe, lernes to omustile omponents ding to TRGI re not required. Every pproved flue system n e used f type 6x. These flue systems re not tested together with the oilers nd do not hve system ertifition in dne with the Gs pplines Regultion 06/46/E. If used, the Viessmnn stipultions with regrd to siting onditions nd sizing (dimeter, mximum flue lengths) must e dhered to. Instll the onnetion pipes (hizontl routing) with fll of t lest (pprox. 50 mm/m) to the oiler. In ddition, we reommend using fixing lmps sped out m prt to suppt/suspend the onnetion line. The flue gs/ventiltion ir is routed in lned flue pipe up to the himney shft. The flue pipe is then routed inside the himney shft to ove the roof. Where no suitle shft is ville, the flue my e routed to the roof through retrofitted shft. F this shft, test ertifite from the uilding inspette E designtion responding to the design of the shft is required. In ddition, the shft must hve fire rting of L0 L90. Using third prty flue systems Every pproved flue system n e used f type 6. These flue systems re not tested together with the oilers nd do not hve system ertifition in dne with the Gs pplines Regultion 06/46/E. If used, you must dhere to the Viessmnn design speifitions set out in this tehnil guide f equipment type x, x, 4()x, 5x, 6x, 8x nd 9x, nd oserve ppline-speifi infmtion. If luminium flue pipes re used, ondenste trp must dditionlly e instlled ove the oiler flue onnetion.. Open flue opertion (Type nd ) Flue gs is routed through single wll plsti flue pipes (PPs). The flue system is E designted nd pproved in dne with EN 447 (see pge 6). The omustion ir is supplied vi the nnulr gp etween the flue pipe nd the ventiltion ir onnetion on the oiler flue onnetion of the Vitodens. Instll the onnetion pipes (hizontl routing) with fll of t lest (pprox. 50 mm/m) to the oiler. In ddition, we reommend using fixing lmps sped out m prt to suppt the onnetion line. Instlling flue pipes When designing nd instlling the flue pipe, fll of t lest towrds the oiler must e mintined. The required fll is the sme if using n 87 oiler flue onnetion end 87 inspetion tee. The required fll of lso responds to height differentil of pprox. 50 mm over length of m. If the required fll is not mintined, ondenste will not drin off fully nd residue will remin in the joints. If the himney is offset, we reommend instlling flexile flue pipe (see pge 8). If the flue pipe is inessile from the roof, seond inspetion pt must e provided in the tti ehind the himney lening hth. Sfegurd the unrestrited drining of the ondenste from the flue into the oiler through n pproprite fll of t lest. The flue system must e routed to ove the roof (protrusion ove the roof in dne with the Lndes-FeuVO hek lol fire regultions). lterntive E designted flue pipes my e used, e.g. if lrger pipe dimeter is required f longer flue lengths. The perfmne verifition to EN 84 should then e provided y the respetive flue mnufturer. If flue pipes other thn those offered s essies (ertified s system with the Vitodens) re used, the flue system must e heked f tightness y the flue gs inspet pri to ommissioning. This my e rried out, in dne with the flue system pprovl ertifite, y mesuring the O O vlue inside the nnulr gp. hek the flue system f tightness if this test results in O ontent ove 0. % n O ontent lower thn 0.6 %.
