2 BPS Company Overview Burton was formed in 2008 by Kimberly Burton, P.E., AICP CTP, LEED AP ND. The Ohio based company s mission is to provide results that are timely, affordable, and customized for the client s specific needs, with a commitment to sustainable solutions. BPS is an Ohio certified DBE and EDGE firm and a licensed engineering firm. BPS multi-disciplinary staff are experienced in program and project management and are familiar with a wide variety of clients in multiple states. They have skillsets in city & transportation planning, economic & community development, civil engineering, environmental studies & public involvement. 4 Key Staff Burton was formed in 2008 by Kimburly Burton, P.E., AICP CTP, LEED AP ND. Since then, the company has grown to include a multi-disciplinary staff of planners, engineers, and environmental specialists. They have a wide variety of experience and the key staff have all worked in the public and private sectors, bringing program and project management expertise. Kimburly Burton, P.E., AICP CTP, LEED AP ND President & Owner Ms. Burton, P.E., AICP CTP, LEED AP ND, has 15 years of experience working in the public and private sectors. She is an experienced program and project manager in addition to a professional engineer and certified planner. Ms. Burton is also an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Ohio State University for sustainability, resiliency, and energy planning courses. During her career, Ms. Burton has worked on a wide variety of planning, environmental and engineering projects. Prior to working as a consultant, she served as ODOT District 7 s Environmental Coordinator for 10 years. During her career, Ms. Clune has worked on a variety of planning, engineering, and environmental projects, and she is a recognized expert in the NEPA process and ODOT environmental issues. As a project manager, Ms. Clune has been proven to effectively manage teams of coworkers and subconsultants to deliver projects on-time and onbudget. He previously served as the Program Manager of ODOT s Noise & Air Quality Program, and he is a nationally recognized noise and air quality expert. During his time at ODOT, he was involved in every major traffic noise study and noise barrier constructed in Ohio for over 3 decades. Since joining BPS, he has been involved in a variety of safety studies, noise analyses, wetland monitoring, and public involvement activities. She is an experienced program and project manager in addition to a professional engineer and certified planner. Prior to working as a consultant, she served Nicole Clune as ODOT District 7 s Environmental Coordinator for 10 years. During her career, Ms. Clune has worked on a variety P.E., of planning, engineering, and environmental projects, and Transportation she is a recognized expert in the NEPA process and ODOT Director environmental issues. 6 BPS Staff Background Jonathon Miller Associate Planner Mr. Miller is a professional planner with a wide range of planning skills. He received his B.S. in City & Regional in His skillsets include community and transportation plans, safety studies, noise analyses, public involvement activities, economic & socioeconomic studies, and zoning codes; and he is an expert in GIS databases and mapping. His skillsets include planning studies, GIS databases and mapping, noise public involvement, public involvement activities, economic and socioeconomic studies, and zoning codes. Rachel Novak Associate Planner Ms. Novak is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University with her degree in City and Regional. While completing her degree, she participated in several studios and courses that allowed her to gain real world experience. She has a passion for public involvement that partners well with her planning background and brings new graphic design techniques to BPS. Her skillset includes public involvement, project management, GIS, and graphic design.
