7 How does Dezofarm work? Hydrogen peroxide reacts with microorganisims and organic substances in a chemical reaction and oxidises them to carbon dioxide and water. Silver ions react with sulfuric amino acids ( cystein, cystin, methionin) in proteins of bacteria and also nucleic acids of viruses and deform the chemical structure of both substance groups. Silver inons are bonded covalent or coordinative and proteins and nucleic acids are inactivated and precipitated. Silver ions have oligodynamic, catalytic and a long time disinfection effect.
