Since July 2009, I followed the construction of 7 power plants in Sicily and Apulia, and currently (July 2010) 6 are fully operational and 1 is expected to be connected to the grid in August Employer: International Committee of the Red Cross ( From 28th January 2005 to 1st March 2009 As ICRC engineer (Water/Sanitation/Health facilities) I covered the following tasks: program management, design, building and rehabilitation of water treatment plants, rehabilitation and construction of health facilities. All the activities are finalized to the assistance of the civilian population affected by conflicts or natural disasters. July 2007 Feb 2009 :Iraq, based in Erbil, North Iraq o Project manager of ICRC engineering operations in North Iraq. The program was worth USD annual in direct cost, with projects involving rehabilitation of water treatment facilities, rehabilitation of hospitals, drilling and design and installation of new water treatment facilities. I had 10 engineers under my supervision for the implementation of the projects. I represented the Organization in meetings with Iraqi Ministers. I was responsible of the strategic decision for the program in the area of concern regarding the engineering sector. May 2006 May 2007 : Pakistan, based in Muzaffarabad, Kashmir region o In the framework of the assistance to the population affected by the earthquake, I followed the construction of new hospitals and the rehabilitation of the water treatment facilities in Jehlum Valley, Kashmir region. I direct superior of a team of 3 engineers and 10 technicians. The projects implemented had a value of USD in direct cost (annual) and I was the project manager following feasibility study, implementation, supervision of the works, financial follow up. January 2005 February 2006 : Darfur, based in Al Fashir, North Darfur. o As field engineer, I had a team of 2 engineers and 2 technicians for the rehabilitations of boreholes, hand pumps and in general water point in North Darfur. The program under my supervision had a value of USD (annual in direct cost). Labview software and a measurement system based on Field Point was realized and implemented. December 2001 January 2002 : Installation of a 50 kw Banki-Michell microhydro turbine in La Realidad, Chiapas, Mexico. Scientific research activities during Ph.D 2004 : Study on the water treatment in South Iraq,feasibility study related and funded by ECHO in the ECHO project Emergency Rehabilitation of 2 Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Basra District, project never started by Un Ponte Per in Basra for security reasons.

One month spent in the facility Desalination plant in PSA to carry on the project Solar direct desalination coupled with CPC system Coordinated and Tutored in the realization of the solar plant in the Penitentiary of Rebibbia, Rome, Italy. The plant realized is one of the largest solar thermal plant in Italy.
