2 Page: 2 of 5 HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION Health Effects: Acute: Swallowed: Eye: Skin: Inhaled: Chronic: First Aid Swallowed: This product has a low acute oral toxicity. Will irritate the eyes. Avoid contact with eyes. In animal tests the product was found to be a slight to moderate eye irritant. Will irritate the skin. This product was found to be a slight skin irritant and non-sensitising in animal tests. This product has a low acute inhalation toxicity. Avoid inhalation of dust. Isoxaflutole is not mutagenic, teratogenic, nor a reproductive toxin. In longterm feeding studies in rodents, liver tumours were observed in rats and mice and thyroid tumours in rats. These effects were only observed at the highest dose tested (MTD) which was far higher than any exposure that could be envisaged for humans. Thus, isoxaflutole presents a negligible, if any, increased cancer risk for humans. If poisoning occurs, immediately contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre (telephone ), and follow the advice given. Show this Material Safety Data Sheet to a doctor. Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. Keep patient at rest and seek medical advice, as above. Eye: Rinse immediately with clean water, including under eyelids, for at least 15 minutes and obtain medical aid. Skin: Inhaled: First Aid Facilities: Advice to Doctor: Carefully remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with soap and water. Seek medical aid if at all worried. If inhaled, remove to fresh air and keep at rest. Obtain medical advice if at all worried. Provide an eyewash station in the workplace. There is no known antidote. Treat symptoms.

3 Page: 3 of 5 PRECAUTIONS FOR USE Exposure Standards: Engineering Controls: The National Occupational Health and Safety Commission (Worksafe Australia) exposure standard (TWA) for dusts not otherwise classified is 10 mg/m³. The PEL (Permissible Exposure Limit) for isoxaflutole is 1 mg/m³ (Bayer CropScience recommendation). Control process conditions to avoid contact. Use local exhaust ventilation during manufacture. Personal Protection: Eyes: Face shield or safety goggles Clothing: Wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist and a washable hat (or equivalent clothing). Gloves: Rubber or PVC elbow length gloves Respiratory: Wear dust mask if exposed to excessive dust. Other: Do not eat, drink or smoke until after washing. Wash thoroughly after handling. After each day s use, wash gloves, face shield or goggles and contaminated clothing. Flammability: This product is not flammable. Under severe dust conditions, it may form explosive mixtures with air. SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION Storage and Transport: Corrosivity Hazards: Handling & Storage Precautions: Transport: Not corrosive Keep out of reach of children. Will irritate the eyes and skin. This product is not classified as a Dangerous Good under the Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail in packages of 3 m³ volume or less. In packages greater than 3 m³ volume it is a Dangerous Good, Class 4.2, SELF-HEATING SOLID, ORGANIC, N.O.S (contains isoxaflutole), UN3088, PG III, Hazchem code 1[Y], EPG Guide 23 - Dangerous Goods - Initial Emergency Response Guide.

4 Page: 4 of 5 SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION continued Spills and Disposal: Spillage or Leak Procedures: Waste Disposal Methods: Avoid contact with spilled material or contaminated surfaces. When dealing with the spillage do not eat, drink or smoke and wear personal protective clothing and equipment as detailed in the Personal Protection section. Keep people and animals away. Contain spillage. Avoid creating dust by damping down. Prevent entry into drains, sewers and watercourses. Shovel or sweep up, and transfer into heavy-duty plastic drums. Seal and label ready for disposal. Check local regulations for disposal of waste. Triple or preferably pressure rinse containers before disposal. Add rinsings to spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush, or puncture and bury empty containers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill is available, bury the containers below 500 mm in a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product should not be burnt. Dispose of waste product through a reputable waste contractor. Fire/Explosion Hazard: Extinguishing Media: Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Reactivity Hazards: Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water spray. Firefighters should wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. If possible and without risk, remove intact containers from exposure to fire. Contain fire-fighting water by bunding area with sand or earth to prevent it entering any bodies of water. Stable under normal conditions of use. May give off toxic substances such as oxides of carbon and nitrogen, and hydrofluoric acid if burnt.
