In practice, it is often impossible to prevent free water from collecting in the hydraulic oil, be it through condensation, chemical processes or from external water ingress. As a result, the aged oil will need to be replaced, which costs money and wastes valuable resources. Aquasorb filter elements absorb these volumes of water to slow down the oil aging process considerably, helping you to increase service life and reduce operating costs. Aquasorb filter elements offer a dual purification effect by filtering out both particles and free water. Bosch Rexroth has combined a water absorbent substrat with a fleece layer into the star pleat. This layer captures even the smallest droplets of water and prevents particles from forming as a result of chemical reactions from blocking the filter pores. Even more, proven glass-fiber microfilter materials filter the oil in various grades, tailored to the relevant application.
