2 AQYLON, a Global ORC Company State of the art ORC solutions AQYLON is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) solutions, which transform heat into electricity and thermal power from renewable sources (biomass, geothermal, solar) or from waste heat created by industrial processes, engines or gas turbines. The company already has 3 turbine and ORC cycle patents and is in the process of filing 8 more in AQYLON s goal is to transcend beyond the typical equipment manufacturer business model to become an Energy Service Company (ESCO), offering costsaving electricity solutions for industrial clients. After 5 years of R&D, AQYLON s first pilot project was installed in Paris s ENSAM in 2013 and in 2015 the first commercial unit was launched in France near Marseille. The vaporized fluid enters the regenerator (4) to give its remaining energy to the liquid organic fluid. The steam is then condensed in a condenser (5) which is supplied with cooling water. The condensed fluid is then pumped (6) into the regenerator (4) and finally into the evaporator (1) to close the circuit. AQYLON ORC units are preassembled in our Paris facility workshop in two 40 containers for the 1 MWe unit, in two 20 and two 40 containers for the 2 MWe unit and in one or more containers for the other products. Organic Rankine Cycle Organic Rankine Cycle technology is very similar to a traditional steam rankine cycle; the major difference is that an organic fluid is used instead of water. This allows for a lower boiling point, which increases efficiency at low temperatures. 05

7 A Total Project Company A wide range of potential business models AQYLON can assume total responsibility for the successful implementation of turnkey projects, or manage a portion of the project. The company s management expertise complements a wide range of manufacturing capabilities, including design, financial engineering, procurement, construction, quality assurance, installation, commissioning, training, operation and maintenance. There is no contract renewal: The SPV that owns the project has 6 months to take back the equipment. 2. There is a contract renewal: New electricity pricing and conditions will be determined for the renewed period. The minimum contract renewal period is 5 years. 3. Buyback option: The customer can purchase the equipment at a pre-determined discounted price. AQYLON proposes 3 standard ORC sizes: 500kWe, 1000kWe and 2000kWe. Targeted applications include recovery of waste heat from engines, recovery of industrial waste heat, and biomass power plants. AQYLON also proposes custom-made ORC solutions for different ORC sizes to address wide temperature ranges, starting at 90 C, for applications such as geothermal and solar thermal sources. AQYLON offers two business models. Customers may invest through the usual product purchasing process. For customers not willing to invest, we have a ZERO CAPEX/ OPEX option with turnkey solutions fully financed with the sale of the produced electricity, at a lower price than the grid (PPA).
