1 D_Series D_200 Dry rotary screw vacuum pumps

2 The advantages of going dry Dry vacuum pumps were first used in the mid-80s in the semiconductor industry and in chemical processing in the early 90s. nash_elmo continues to be a leader in these applications. Our dry pump technology does not require external lubrication and uses noncontacting rotors to pump process vapors, thereby eliminating contamination. They provide several benefits: No contamination of process gases Solvent or process chemicals can be condensed and reused Acid and toxic chemicals are pumped easily Achieves a deeper vacuum, which improves yield and quality Flexibility to pump a changing mixture of chemicals Low operating costs Low maintenance costs Eliminates effluent treatment costs Main applications: Crystallization Distillation Drying Evaporators Metallurgical processing Reactor service Solvent recovery Sterilizers and many others Features Simplicity Single stage design Controlled internal temperatures Straight gas path Oil-free pumping chamber Special thread form, dynamically balanced Full capacity Low ultimate vacuum Large pump capacities Benefits Reliability, low maintenance No interstage condensers Energy efficient / safe Minimal residence time Environmentally friendly No oil consumption Low-noise, low vibration Fast evacuation time High product purity Fewer pumps needed We design and develop solutions tailored to your individual needs. 3 Reliable, ultra clean and environmentally friendly The D_200 family of rotary screw vacuum systems features remarkably reliable and highly efficient dry vacuum pumps. A unique rotary screw design, ultra clean gas purged seals and no oil lubricants within the pumping chambers make this dry pump very environmentally friendly. It can handle corrosives, organics, inorganics and solvents because of its oil-free non-contacting screw design. As a result of this design, the pump has a long life span without any internal wearing parts. Unlike other units where corrosion can occur between the screw rotor and separate shaft, in tappings on the screws, etc., the D_200 shafts and screws are each one solid piece allowing for the safest, most trouble free design. With the gas enclosed between the screw flights and then axially transferred to the discharge, there is no possibility of contaminating valuable solvents, products or the environment. The D_200 family of dry screw pumps is ideal for vapor recovery of process chemicals and solvents. This makes them the ultimate system to have saving energy, emissions and most importantly, operating costs. Another feature of the dry pumps is that they can be either direct cooled or indirect cooled depending on the application. An optional air cooling arrangement can even be provided to ease installation. The direct cooling process allows a greater degree of temperature control, especially important when handling potentially combustible gases. Engineered systems capture condensables at the discharge, reducing emissions. Specially designed hybrid systems can achieve 25,000 m 3 /h (14,000 cfm) and beyond when larger capacities are needed. nash_elmo D_200 Dry Pro rotary screw vacuum pumps are manufactured to ISO 9001:2000 standards and are ATEX compliant. 6 Other nash_elmo product lines L_Series: Liquid Ring Pumps Robust technology for the highest demands and varied applications Machines in the L_Series distinguish themselves through low operating temperatures and are suitable for handling splash water, steam and condensates. They were developed for the toughest applications and can safely and reliably extract or compress even explosive gas/ steam mixtures (ATEX-certified). Selection of a suitable operating liquid enables the L_Series vacuum pumps and compressors to be optimally integrated into processes. Thanks to their low operating costs and extensive performance range up to 37,000 m 3 /h (22,000 cfm), they excel in any application. G_Series: Gas Ring Blowers Proven, reliable and extremely quiet Whether vacuum pumps, compressors or systems for conveying air, gases or air/gas mixtures, the extensive range of products in the G_Series meets the widest range of requirements. Thanks to their variable voltage motors, many are usable anywhere in the world without the need for conversion. In addition to their compact construction, full UL/CSA certification and innovative design, G_Series pumps and compressors offer a comprehensive power range up to 2,500 m 3 /h (1,470 cfm), maximum power density and a wide selection of accessories, including frequency converters. V_Series: Vane Pumps D_Series: Dry Pumps nash_elmo Industries info@nash-elmo.com Corporate Headquarters Trumbull, CT USA 9 Trefoil Drive Trumbull, CT Tel.: Simple design for varied applications The vane pumps in our V_Series are known for their robust design, easy handling and long service life. Furnished with an extremely sturdy metal coating as well as installation- and service-friendly plug & play functionality, these high performance machines are extremely quiet in operation, and can meet even the most challenging industrial demands while covering an impressive performance range up to 4,000m 3 /h (2,350 cfm) and 10 bar g (145 psig). High reliability with low operating costs The dry-running vacuum pumps in our D_Series are explosion-proof and were specially developed for production processes involving sensitive materials. Throughout the entire process, they operate condensation-free and therefore corrosion-free without mixing process gases with the operating liquid. As a result, discharge gases can simply be cleaned or returned to the process. There are no waste products. In addition, all pumps in the D_Series are highly efficient and provide a constant suction capacity over an extremely wide range of pressures with a performance range up to to 2,200 m 3 /h (1,300 cfm).
