3 MODELING OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THE STORAGE LAKES USING THE AQUADYN MATHEMATICAL MODEL I. GIURMA, CATRINEL-RALUCA GIURMA, and I. CRĂCIUN The storage lakes are hydrotechnical structures used to manage the surface waters. In the same time the lakes modify the environment regarding the geographical, ecological and socially aspects. The evaluation of the all environmental impact elements represent solutions for minimizing the negative effects and finding solutions for the future in the context of durable development. This paper presents the mathematical modeling aspects regarding the impact above the complex storage lakes. As a case study for the complex storage Gilău, Cluj county, is utilized the AquaDyn 3.01 mathematical model. TECHNOLOGY TO PROVIDE LOCAL SOURCES OF UNDERGROUND WATER FOR IRRIGATIONS EFTIMIE NITESCU, ILIE MORUZ, ST. POPESCU, DANIEL TOMA and CATALINA NITESCU Creating and using of local sources of underground water for irrigations means important economic and social advantages. However, the use of underground waters is limited by the technology used for the tapping of these waters, currently a very expensive one. This paper proposes a technological solution which allows the creation of local water underground accumulations at prices affordable to agricultural farms. RESEARCHES CONCERNING THE USE OF HYDRO- ABSORBENT HYDROGELS TO WATERPROOF CHANNEL- AND BASIN- FLAGSTONES ŞT. POPESCU, ESMERALDA CHIORESCU and EFTIMIE NIŢESCU A theoretical and experimental study, on a laboratory stand, of a new technological solution to waterproof the joints between flagstones is presented. Based on the obtained results of this research an algorithm is shown for the hydraulic computation of the joints in all practical cases currently employed to jacket channels and basins with flagstones.

4 NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF THE POLUTION RISK DURING THE BREAK-DOWN OF A THERMAL PIPE ESMERALDA CHIORESCU, ŞT. POPESCU, EFTIMIE NIŢESCU and CĂLIN STANCIU In this paper are presented conceptual and mathematical models for a thermal pipe, both during normal operating conditions and during a break-down generated by damage or errors in the exploitation of a joining device between tubes. Subsequent these models, by means of a software program to pre-process raw data, and then using the FEFLOW software package, the two operating states of the pipe will be simulated in adequate scenarios. Thus, technical performances of the thermal pipe are emphasized, as well as the influence of some parameters of geothermal water (concentration and temperature) and soil (humidity and temperature) upon the development of the chemical process of pollution of the surrounding soil. HYDRAULIC CALCULUS OF PIPES WITH DISTRIBUTED DISCHARGES USING HAAR WAVELETS FUNCTIONS ADRIAN PRICOP, N. MARCOIE and DANIEL TOMA The paper presents a new method based on Haar wavelets functions, used to calculate pipes with distributed discharge. The obtained results on a simple pipe with distributed discharge, are then used for a pipe s network calculus. On a calculus example are emphasized the advantages of this new method. A STUDY CONCERNING THE PRECISION AND OPTIMAL CONDITIONS OF DETERMINING THE HORIZONTAL DEFORMATIONS OF THE STUDIED CONSTRUCTIONS GH. NISTOR and CRISTIAN ONU The raising of the qualitative level of the constructions, the choice of he optimal solutions and insurance of the working security one achieve by completion of he strength and stability calculation with experimental researces in laboratory and on models and with measurements and observations on constructions in nature, carried out by apparatus and methods of high technics. The geodetic methods have a wide application in establishing the state of efforts and deformations of the constructions, thanks to high precision conferred to the results. A study of the precision and optimal conditions of determining the horizontal deformation vector of studied constructions is presented.

5 MEASURING DISTRIBUTED WATER VOLUMES TO CONSUMERS IRRIGATION EQUIPMENTS IOSIF BARTHA, NICOLAE MARCOIE, MIHAI ANĂSTĂSOAEI, MIHAI-MARIUS AGAFIŢEI, DANIEL TOMA and DANIEL TOACĂ In the condition of actual private agriculture water volumes measurement in irrigated arrangements represents a necessity with respect to a correct payment of the used water by land owners and for correct applying water rates. In order to solve this issue it has been realized a new device for discharge measuring of distributed water by the irrigation equipments. Laboratory studies show a good accuracy and adequate hydraulic characteristics of the device. The device is part of the watering equipment connector to the hydrant, therefore fraudulent consumption is prevented. HAVY METALS SOIL CONTAMINATION RISK ASSESSMENT FLORIAN STĂTESCU and DORIN COTIUŞCĂ-ZAUCĂ Soil is a crucial component of rural and urban environments and in both places land management is the key to soil quality. In this paper it is presented, in an original form, scientifica observations regards the: soil content of heavy metals in three locations from Bacău district area, heavy metals contamination risk assessment of soils in these locations, remediation and management of contaminated soil. The studied interval was RESEARCHES REGARDING THE POLLUTANTS DISPERSION OF A THERMOELECTRIC POWER STATION M. LUCA The study of the pollution phenomenon produced by an overground source, particularly by a thermo electric power station, can be studied by a physical model. The risk of degradation of the environment as a result of a controlled emission was evaluated through a mathematical and physical modelling process. The physical modelling mainly the hydraulic one was used for the case of a natural environment with a strongly rugged relief and some biphasic or polyphasic flows within the atmospheric turbulent limit stratum. Air movement in atmospheric boundary layer is turbulent due to earth friction and whirlpools produced by wind. The researches on hydraulic models have been correlated with the ones from the aerodynamic models, where we can simulate, also, thermal effects. Modelling experiences were very useful and suggestive, researches sensation being they observe the natural phenomenon.

6 STUDY REGARDING FUNCTIONAL EFFICIENCY OF DRAINS SITUATED IN DANUBE S DYKE ZONE I. COJOCARU and PAULA COJOCARU The results of the research made on an experimental field with drainages situated in the dyke zone of Great Island of Brăila are presented. The research has comprised 20, 30 and 50 m distance between drainages. The drainage s effect was estimated in relation with rainfall s magnitude and water mark s variations of Danube. The results show that, all though the ground has good features of infiltration and water circulation, the 20 m distance between drainages in the dyke zone is not enough for a good result of drainage. *SC CONALID LTD Jassy POWER ASPECTS IN URBAN WASTE-WATER TREATMENT PLANT. MANAGING POWER IN WASTE-WATER TREATMENT PLANTS DORIN COTIUŞCĂ-ZAUCA, BRADUŢ DIMA, M. DIMA and DANIELA MATEI The paper reveals the results of some researches regarding the covering ui power and thermal necessities for urban waste-water treatment plants, using their own energy resources. In this way the technological performances for the waste-waters treatment, with a minimum of operating costs, are ensured based on a thorough power balance.
