DANPALON and Danpatherm K7 systems Sustainability & Durability EVERLITE CONCEPT Oct. 2016

Unique features 100% PURE polycarbonate material High level of optical quality Pure polycarbonate reduces Yellowing and colour degradation after years of installation Unique microcellular structure and quality UV allows for suction/mechanical handling and ensures a high density panel: Excellent impact resistance Limited condensation phenomena Natural curving in section to tight radii May utilise thermoforming (heat) & machine bending Double notch standing seam Robust and proven Danpalon connection system 2 lines of contact = 2 effective barriers against air and water penetration When used in conjunction with the two-part connector it achieves outstanding air and water tightness

UV Protection UV layer: a UV protection is co-extruded with a minimum thickness of 45 µm on the outside face of the panel (exposed side) and can also be applied on the two sides of the panel. This layer provides a photo oxidation protection to the panel. UV protection 45 microns of UV as standard Life expectancy 25 years + After 25 yeras of natural exposure, Danpalon retains its mechanical properties Added by coextrusion Certified by independant labs specialized in the photooxydation of synthesis materials

Sustainable benefits of DANPALON connectable systems No added external compunds or impurities that limit recyclability (e.g. glass or mineral wool fibres) 100% of DANPALON systems are recyclable 100% of DANPALON systems are recycled Connectors ensure two functions in one : installation and secondary structure. We still require sheeting rail/top hat for vast majority of connectors whic is classed as secondary structure. The limited weight of the systems (5kg/m²) means: less steel metal/concrete to support them less carbon for their transport less massive lifting devices for installation easier site handling & manouverability The cut-to-length panels prevent on site waste.

DURABILITY: NATURAL EXPOSURE TESTS

Durability NATURAL EXPOSURE TESTS Weathering Emmaqua Unbaked test (Test report DSET laboratory n and n DGL) Danpalon panels were exposed to MJ/m² of UV using the DSET s EMMAQUA Test Method according to ASTM D4364 over a period of 1 year. The hemispherical transmittance measurements were performed on the sample panels in accordance with the ASTM Standard Test Method E Result: After GJ/m² of natural UV exposure (5 years in Moderate European climate) the light transmittance decreased by 1.5 to 2% for clear and white color. No yellowing noted.

Durability NATURAL EXPOSURE TESTS Weathering Emmaqua Accelerated test Arizona (Test report DSET laboratory n ) Danpalon panels were exposed to MJ/m² of UV using the DSET s EMMAQUA Test Method according to ASTM D4364 over a period of 2 years. The hemispherical transmittance measurements were performed on the sample panels in accordance with the ASTM Standard Test Method E Result: After GJ/m² of natural UV exposure (10 years in Moderate European climate) the light transmittance decreased by 2 to 3% for clear color. No yellowing noted.

Durability NATURAL EXPOSURE TESTS Heat exposure accelerated weathering effect (Test report DSET laboratory n ) Danpalon panels were measured initially and then exposed for 25 minutes at a temperature of 150 C (300 F) in a Blue M serial B-2730-Q microprocessor oven. Hemispherical solar transmittance measurements were performed using 8- feet diameter integrating sphere and the sun as the light source in accordance with the ASTM Standard E Result: No impact on the light transmission and on the color.

DURABILITY: ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TESTS

Durability ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TESTS Weather Ometer aging test (Test report CSTB n GM 89-43, GM 94-2 and GM 96-8) Climatic encircled developed by Atlas for accelerated aging test. It uses Xenon light (550W) at a room temperature of 38 C and a humidity of 50% with 18 min water sprayed every 120 min. Result: After 3200H (sunlight total = 10GJ/m² in accordance with the EN ISO 4892 part. 1 and 2) of Weather Ometer exposure, it demonstrates that, in good condition (Moderate European climate) the UV protection reduces yellowing as well as light transmission and mechanical decrease.

Durability ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TESTS Accelerated aging test in SEPAP and (Test report CNEP D n R , R and R ) SEPAP : Climatic encircled developed by CNEP and Atlas for polymer accelerated aging. It uses 4 mercury vapor lights (400W) with surface temperature control of material at 60 C. For information: 200H of exposure are equivalent to 1 year of natural exposure for Moderate European Climate.

Durability ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TESTS Accelerated aging test in SEPAP and (Test report CNEP D n R , R and R ) SEPAP : Climatic encircled developed by CNEP and Atlas for polymer accelerated aging. It uses 8 mercury vapor lights (400W) with surface temperature control of material at 70 C. For information: 75H of exposure are equivalent to 1 year of natural exposure for Moderate European Climate.

Durability ARTIFICIAL EXPOSURE TESTS Accelerated aging test in SEPAP and (Test report CNEP D n R , R and R ) Result: After 20 years of accelerated weather exposure, the UV layer has a minimum thickness of 25 µm without any yellowing and degradation of light transmission. No material photo-oxidation is noted. Danpalon and 3DLITE panels retain their mechanical and optical properties with a minimum thickness of 25 µm of the UV layer after 20 years of natural exposure (Moderate European Climate.).

Recyclability of DANPALON connectable systems DANPALON panels are manufactured from high quality, pure polycarbonate resin, a thermoplastic material that may be heated for forming and re-used several times. DANPALON panels are produced using low energy consumption extrusion machines. Out of the extrusion die : The CLEAR panels (70% of overall production) that are not 100% compliant with our Quality standards are regranulated and recycled in the production of further translucent panels (with a maximum concentration of 10% of regranulated material). The COLOR panels (30% of overall production) that are not 100% compliant with our Quality standards are regranulated and recycled in the production of opaque panels (with a maximum concentration of 30% of regrinded material). The remaining regaranulated material is recycled by our external partners who use the material in the production of products and components that do not require high levels of optical/mechanical properties (packaging, etc )

Process Our products are ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified, guaranteeing the highest production quality with respect to environmental regulations. Our panels are 100% recyclable and our scrap waste is 100% recycled. CE Marked, since January 2014, all Everlite polycarbonate multiwall panels have CE marking according to the EN of May 17th 2013.
