2 INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Description of necessary measures according to routes of exposure Eye Inhalation Skin Ingestion In case of eye contract, hold eyelids apart and flush continuously with clean running water for approximately 15 minutes. If symptoms develop and/or persist seek medical attention. Remove affected person to fresh air. Not considered a feature of normal use. Non irritant. Nil absorption. Remove any contaminated clothing and flush area with water. If irritation develops and/or persists seek medical attention. If swallowed, do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth with water. Give a glass of water or milk to drink and seek medical attention. For advice, contact Poisons Information Centre on or a doctor. Most Important Symptoms & Effects, Both Acute & Delayed, Caused by Exposure See Section 11 for more detailed information on health effects and symptoms. Advice to Doctor 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Treat symptomatically. Product is an effective foaming agent, hence, vomiting has not been induced. General Measures Suitable Extinguishing Media Do not enter enclosed or a confined work space without proper protective equipment. Fire fighting personnel should wear respiratory protection (positive pressure if available). Clear fire area of all non-emergency personnel. Stay upwind. Keep out of low areas. Eliminate ignition sources. Move fire exposed containers from fire area if it can be done without risk. Use extinguishing media appropriate to the principal fire hazard or to the source of the fire. Special Hazards Arising from the Substance or Mixture Specific Hazards Fire/Explosion Hazard Protective Equipment for Fire Fighters This product is not flammable under the conditions of storage and use and does not support combustion. Non-flammable and non combustible. When containers are exposed to extreme heat, keep cool by spraying with water to prevent pressure build-up and drums bursting. Fire Fighters should wear Self Container Breathing Apparatus and full protective clothing appropriate to the principal fire hazard or the source of the fire. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES General Response Procedure Spillages Avoid accidents, clean up immediately. Slippery when spilled. Evacuate personnel to safe areas. Eliminate all sources of ignition if safe to do so. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Increase ventilation. Clean up any spillages immediately. Small spills may be washed away with large quantities of water. Large spills contain and collect using absorbent material. Prevent run off into drains and waterways. Isolate any leaking containers and transfer contents to alternative, suitable, containers for disposal. After clean up, rinse the area clean with large quantities of water. Page 2 of 5 25
