3 OUR EDGE In-house EPC and Project Management Capabilities DEVELOPING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE alfanar Construction, the in-house division of alfanar is a leading EPC player in the power sector for more than four decades. The division undertakes turnkey EPC contract for conventional and renewable energy power plants including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation works and associated detailed engineering and procurement works. As a market leader in power generation and transmission, alfanar Construction has consistently delivered mega projects on time with strict adherence to quality and project management. alfanar Construction's project personnel organize and manage a full range of services necessary to oversee the project planning and project management demands, right from master planning to execution. The division plans for every micro stage of the project to provide fast information ow between different phases and close collaboration of multi disciplines of the project. alfanar Construction is currently engaged on more than 40 power projects in Europe, Middle East and Asia with an aggregate value of more than $3 bn. Financial Capabilities The IPP and Project Development division is backed by the $2.1 bn parent organization, alfanar. The IPP division in the past has been successful in raising both debt and equity of more than $1.5 bn to fund the 1.4 GW project portfolio in hand and the identi ed projects pipeline. The group has sound capital structure, strong balance sheet and uses prudent nancial engineering techniques and risk management practices to identify renewable energy projects for development. In addition to internal accruals, the division has already allocated resources for achieving the target of 3 GW portfolio by 2021 by building an ecosystem of strategic partners and global nancial institutions. Operation & Maintenance Operation and Maintenance are a critical scope in the lifecycle of renewable energy projects especially Solar and Wind. alfanar's edge lies in its inherent strengths and own workshop facility established in Jubail, KSA offering preventive and routine maintenance solutions for electrical, mechanical and rotating equipment, overhaul, repair, rewinding, refurbishment, inspection and testing. With a very strong team of experienced engineers and technicians, alfanar Engineering Services offers professional expertise in testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and operation and maintenance services. Solar PV Wind Waste to Energy alfanar O&M division has worked on more than 250 projects and the capital investment in the division exceeds $25 mn, making it one of the leading solution providers in the region. Once the installation is complete and generating starts, alfanar O&M ensures long-term performance and pro tability of the project, providing operations and maintenance services, asset administration, and 24x7/365 monitoring and real-time response from it's operations control center. 5 50MW 720MW 57, ,000 Part of 1.6 GW Benban Solar Park Largest Ongoing Wind Park Development Project in Spain 50 MW SOLAR PV, EGYPT 720 MW WIND FARM PROJECT, SPAIN alfanar's rst international solar power project was awarded by the Government of Egypt under the Feed -in- Tariff program in The project is part of the 1.6 GW Benban Solar Park which when completed will be one of the largest solar installations in the world. alfanar Construction is the EPC and O&M contractor for this project in addition to it's primary role of investor and developer. Government of Egypt Benban Solar Park December 2018 In August 2017, alfanar won the rights to develop 720MW capacity Wind farms in a reverse auction conducted by Spanish Ministry of Energy. This was the biggest international contract of the auction. The project is progressing on schedule and will become operational by December In addition to the role of lead developer of the project, alfanar is also the BOP Contractor and O&M Service provider for the project. 6 300MW 3.9MW 340, Will provide electricity to 290,000 household once completed One of the Largest grid connected captive project in KSA 3.9 MW GRID CONNECTED CAPTIVE PROJECT, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA 300 MW WIND FARM PROJECT, BHUJ, INDIA In January 2018, alfanar won 300 MW Wind Power capacity in a reverse auction conducted by SECI. This project is being developed in Bhuj region and once operational will be providing electricity to 290,000 households in the region. alfanar will be taking on the role of the Developer and BOP Contractor for this project. SECI Bhuj, Gujarat November 2019 Built over alfanar Industrial City, (AIC), one of the biggest electrical product manufacturing facility in the Middle East, this is one of the largest rooftop Solar project in KSA. When completed the project will produce 12 MW power which will result in substantial savings and overall competitiveness enhancement for AIC. This project is an on-grid captive project with reverse electricity protection system. The rst phase (3.9MW) of the project has been completed as per schedule with alfanar taking over the EPC and O&M role. AIC Riyadh Completed
