EUROPE S LEADING CHP SPECIALIST Dachs CHP RANGE GUIDE 2016

As the UK moves towards a low carbon economy, Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is becoming increasingly important. No one knows more about this highly specialised technology than SenerTec. As the makers of Europe s bestselling mini-chp solution, we have built and installed more CHP units than any other manufacturer. CONTENTS CHP Specialist Is CHP for me? 3 SenerTec is the name behind Dachs, the best-selling mini-chp solution in Europe. The reason behind our success is simple: We do one thing and we do it well. That s what makes us Europe s leading CHP specialist. SPECI AL1ST 33,000 UNITS INSTALLED TO DATE Dachs CHP units have been specified for more applications than any other CHP unit. ENGINEERED IN GERMANY All Dachs units are designed and built using the highest quality materials to ISO 9001 standards. PROVEN TECHNOLOGY Our industry-leading engines are specifically designed for CHP, using tried and tested technology. DEVELOPED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH VOLKSWAGEN The Dachs Pro 20 is powered by an EcoBlue 2.0 engine, built by Volkswagen for SenerTec. BUILT TO LAST Every Dachs CHP unit is built to run continuously and reliably for many years. LIFETIME SUPPORT SenerTec offers a full service, from site survey and drawings, to technical support, maintenance and remote monitoring

Electricity Fuel Heat 97% EFFICIENT. * 100% DEPENDABLE Our economy has been built on a constant supply of low cost electricity. But times are changing. To combat the threat of climate change, businesses of all sizes are under pressure to reduce CO 2 emissions and energy consumption. Renewable energy sources like wind and solar have an important role to play in meeting this challenge, but both have limitations. Particularly in the UK where the weather is unpredictable. Unlike other low carbon technologies CHP provides a constant supply of low carbon electricity and heating, all day - every day. When energy is generated by large-scale power plants the heat produced in the process is simply released into the air. With CHP, electricity is generated on site, so none is lost during transportation and the heat is captured, rather than lost. Heat is then used to produce hot water for space heating and general use. Generating power and heat in this way is far more efficient, because the same energy is used for both processes. In fact, SenerTec s Dachs mini-chp units are so efficient they can convert over 97% of primary energy into electricity and heat. Generating hot water and electricity from a single source reduces CO 2 emissions and minimises energy costs. *Gross 97% 06 07

A Dachs CHP unit could pay for itself in as little as five years. A result of over 20 years experience, SenerTec s CHP technology is renowned for its reliability and efficiency. To date over 33,000 Dachs units have been installed across Europe, generating over 5.1 billion kilowatt hours of clean, low cost electricity. Resulting in a saving of more than 3 million tonnes of CO 2. Each unit comprises two main parts: a high-performance generator and purpose-built Dachs engine. The generator delivers electrical power, while the engine heats system water, which is then stored in a buffer vessel and piped into the heating and hot water systems as and when required. Dachs CHP technology isn t just good for the environment; it s a sound investment for any business or public sector organisation. With primary energy savings of up to 30%, a Dachs mini-chp unit could pay for itself in as little as five years

German engineering at its most precise Dachs CHP units are renowned for their durability thanks to the quality materials used to build them, which is matched only by the attention to detail that goes into their assembly. All the essential parts of the Dachs CHP unit are precision engineered using the highest grades of brass, copper and steel. The production of every unit is perfected by hand and individually monitored. Each and every unit is assembled one part at a time, which allows them to be dismantled in the same way. It could be said that Dachs CHP units are built more solidly than practical requirements demand. But that s what makes them unique. They re not only built to perform. They re built to keep on performing, day in - day out, year in - year out, even in the most demanding environments. Dachs CHP units are precision engineered using the highest grades of brass, copper and steel

THE BEST THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES The Dachs mini-chp unit isn t much bigger than a small commercial boiler. Yet it can meet the baseload heating and electricity requirements of a typical commercial building. A single Dachs mini-chp unit provides 5.5 kw of power and 14.7 kw of thermal energy, delivering an overall efficiency of up to 99%. Dachs mini-chp units can also be used in combination with a SenerTec SE750 buffer vessel (capacity 750 litres). For larger buildings with higher demands, multiple units can be used together in cascades of up to 10. The Dachs Pro 20 offers similar levels of efficiency and even greater outputs, with a single unit delivering up to 19.2 kw of electrical power and 42 kw of thermal energy. With so many permeations available SenerTec is able to offer a fitting solution for virtually any application. From hotels, restaurants, schools and hospitals, to factories, leisure centres, care homes and apartment buildings. Anywhere there s a need for heat, hot water and power. Similar in size to a small commercial boiler, the Dachs mini-chp unit delivers enough electricity to meet the baseload power requirements of many commercial buildings

DACHS MINI-CHP Over 33,000 installations to date The SenerTec Dachs mini-chp system uses an internal combustion engine that can be fuelled by either natural gas or LPG.
