Introduction World Plastics is the leading company in the development and manufacture of advanced piping systems since Our uniquely wide-range of large and small bore piping systems are capable of handling a wide variety of materials in both industrial and domestic applications including water, waste fluid, gas, and chemicals in addition to manufacturing piping systems for electrical installations. Pipes are manufactured from high quality raw material using some of the most advanced production techniques in the world, according to the existing standards. Our commitment to quality extends to customer support and service. You will find us more than willing to help in the design of the system, and offer engineering counseling in developing a piping network that meets particular needs. What is CPVC? Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) is a thermoplastic produced by chlorination of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. Uses include hot and cold water pipes, and industrial liquid handling.

CPVC Pipes and Fittings: It s a Hot and Cold Potable Water Distribution System, CPVC Pipes and Fittings are jointed together by solvent cementing which, through chemical bonding, essentially makes the pipe and fitting become one continuous piece. Chemical & Physical Properties: Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) is PVC (polyvinyl chloride) that has been chlorinated via a free radical chlorination reaction. CPVC is readily workable, including machining, welding, and forming. Because of its excellent corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures, CPVC is ideally suited for selfsupporting constructions where temperatures up to 200 F (90 C) are present. Due to its specific composition, dealing with CPVC requires specialized solvent cement, with high strength solvent cement variants. The ability to bend, shapes, and weld CPVC enables its use in a wide variety of processes and applications

Technical Data: All CPVC Schedule 40 and schedule 80 pipe shall be manufactured from a Type IV, Grade I Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) compound with a minimum Cell Classification of per ASTM D1784. The pipe shall be manufactured in strict compliance to ASTM F441, consistently meeting the Quality Assurance test requirements of this standard with regard to material, workmanship, burst pressure, flattening, and extrusion quality. The pipe shall be produced in the USA using domestic materials, by an ISO 9001 certified manufacturer, and shall be stored indoors after production, at the manufacturing site, until shipped from factory The specification covers chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) pipe made for water distribution at elevated temperatures.

Characteristics: Heat resistant Compression resistant Easy plumbing process PERMEABILITY it is non - permeable to oxygen. SMOOTH the smooth internal surface of CPVC products reduces frictional losses, and prevents fouling and scaling. In the long term, this maintains a greater capacity for a given diameter than with conventional products. LOW THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY Energy savings. CHEMICAL RESISTANCE Excellent compatibility with many chemicals. CONDENSATION Reduces problems against traditional materials. EASY TO INSTALL it is rigid, light weight, easy to cut and chamfer by simple tools. NON - TOXIC will not impair the taste or smell of water. CORROSION RESISTANT remains unaffected by atmospherically agents and aggressive water. FOOD SAFE all the components are approved for contact with foodstuffs for human consumption. FIRE CLASSIFICATION CPVC has a Limiting Oxygen Index (LOI) of 60. Thus in air CPVC does not support combustion. No flaming drips, does not increase the fire load, low flame spread, low smoke generation

This means that CPVC: - Needs less hangers and supports. - There is no unsightly looping of the pipe. - Is suitable for vertical risers. - Has a higher pressure bearing capability. This leads to the same flow rate with a smaller pipe size.

Lower Thermal Conductivity Reduced Heat losses Though Rigid Material CPVC has a much higher strength / modulus than other thermoplastics used in Plumbing applications.

Lower Thermal Expansion Coefficient Less expansion of pipe when hot water runs Less need for expansion loops, less looping. Low Bacteria Build Up CPVC piping supports the lowest bacterial compared with traditional piping materials.

CPVC LIFE TIME If the life of CPVC pipes PN 16 at (80 C, 4bar) is five years it means that the CPVC pipe works continuously sixty month at (80 C, 4 bar).
