Solar energy SCHOTT banks on the power of the sun SCHOTT counts on its 120-year experience in glass technology to become active also in the field of solar technology. SCHOTT holds competencies in the production of special glass, processing of silicon and coating. SCHOTT Solar has more than 40 years of experience in the field of PV solar electricity. Our production plants and sales offices are close to the markets and to our customers worldwide.

Solar energy SCHOTT: A broad range of competencies SCHOTT offers a wide range of future-oriented products and solutions in all fields of solar technology: PV solar electricity Solar thermal: collectors for water heating and heating supplement receivers for solar thermal power plants

Photovoltaics Our competencies in PV: In Alzenau, SCHOTT Solar runs the SmartSolarFab, Europe s largest fully integrated production site. The EFG method for wafer production is unique and internationally patented. It is one of the most environmentally friendly methods worldwide and needs a minimum energy input. SCHOTT Solar offers its customers one of the widest-ranging product portfolios in the PV market worldwide: Crystalline PV modules between 2 and 330 watts Semitransparent ASITHRU modules for architectural purposes Customized a-si thin film OEM modules Complete systems for off-grid applications Large on-grid systems.

Receivers Receivers for Solar Thermal Power Plants

Receivers Our competencies: Even in the mid-eighties, SCHOTT delivered special glass tubes as cover tubes for the receivers of the first power plants. In 2004, SCHOTT introduced their PTR70 receiver into the market. Today, SCHOTT has become the technology leader for this key component. By continuous research and development work, we will guarantee the highest standards of quality also in the future.

Receivers Our vision: By supplying high-quality products, we want to strengthen solar thermal power plant technology so that it will be applied in the sunbelt states of the earth. We want to consolidate our role as a market and technology leader in the field of receivers for Parabolic Trough Power Plants.

Receivers Key Markets for SCHOTT-Receivers Source: Solar Millennium AG, Erlangen Sites for CSP are in the Sun Belt excellent good suitable not suitable
