6 INOGATE Project INOGATE Technical Secretariat (ITS) and Integrated Programme in support of the Baku Initiative and the Eastern Partnership energy objectives Overall objective - contribute to the progress of the INOGATE Partner Countries in the achievement of the Baku Initiative and the Eastern Partnership objectives Geographical area - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan (PCs)

7 NEW ITS Project - Components Component A Enhanced assistance in support of the Baku Initiative/Eastern Partnership as well as the Energy Community objectives Component B Enhance convergence of Gas and Electricity Markets on the basis of the EU internal energy market principles Component C Strengthen energy institutional governance in relation to sustainable energy, in particular by focussing on institutional capacity Component D Enhanced use and harmonisation of energy statistics in line with European standards

10 Component C, Sustainable Energy Results to be achieved: Improved capacity to implement and evaluate effective sustainable energy policies and action plans Networks to enhance the exchange of experiences and best practices on policies and regulatory frameworks Improvement in knowledge transfer as well as capacity building in the field of SE technologies
