These pump stations are on Alfred Street, Van Buren Street, and Kernahan Street. The water is treated at the well heads with chlorine (disinfection) before it enters the distribution system. Each disinfection system consists of two sodium hypochlorite metering pumps with automatic emergency switch-over, chlorine analyzer with data link, in-line turbidity analyzer and a chemical storage tank. The pump stations also have automatic high lift pump lockouts for all pumps in the event of a problem. The system supplies water and services to approximately 4000 customers and local industries. Each well has an on-site reservoir, total reservoir capacity of all three wells is 2272 m³ (600,000 gallons). The municipal water system currently delivers about 1800 m³/day or 475, 000 gallons per day (gpd). The operation and control of the water system is performed by a state of the art SCADA (System Control and Data Acquisition System). The SCADA system monitors the entire water supply 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The distribution system consists of 30 kilometers of various size (100mm, 150mm, 200mm and 300 mm) water mains. The distribution system is constantly being upgraded and expanded as necessary. The system is looped so as to minimize service disruptions due to emergencies and maintenance. List all water treatment chemicals used over this reporting period Sodium Hypochlorite Were any significant expenses incurred to? [ X ] Install required equipment [ ] Repair required equipment [ X ] Replace required equipment Page 2 of 5
