5 CONSUMPTION & WASTE: SCOPE 3 * VISION 1: Achieve zero waste along with NYC (2030). VISION 2: 25% reduction in Scope 3 emissions from 2015 by 2025 and become a leader in Scope 3 emission reduction. VISION 3: Build an environmentally sound and socially ethical system of consumption on campus. Finance SPC * Internal carbon pricing works to reduce emissions by incentivizing various services and groups on campus to consider the cost of carbon in financial decisions. We ll discuss this in greater detail at the end of this session. 8

9 CURRICULA & RESEARCH VISION 1: All students graduating from Barnard are literate in and have worked on climate issues from multiple perspectives in coursework and research. VISION 2: Barnard supports interdisciplinary approaches to climate and sustainability innovation in teaching and scholarship, including fostering civic engagement and supporting a "campus as lab" approach where applicable. Indoor spaces that are furnished and maintained with low- or non- toxic materials and products. VISION 2: Opportunities for Barnard community to engage in caring for shared outdoor spaces. VISION 3: Ongoing connections and collaboration with our Morningside community on shared environmental issues. VISION 2: A supportive community where institutional and communal changes enable individuals to make changes as well. VISION 3: Campus initiatives on sustainability, diversity and inclusion, wellness, and other core values are integrated and mutually supportive. VISION 2: Climate and Sustainability actions and goals are understood and regularly reviewed by all stakeholders.
