8 Utilities Extension Project Wastewater - Eliminates septic systems which are not effective in treating sewage in urbanized areas; i.e. ¼ acre lots. Eliminates coliform bacteria entering ground and surface waters from failing septic systems, especially during heavy rain events. Special benefit provides access to City s wastewater collection and treatment facilities. 8
