9 Commercial name: SODAL 52 L MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 and Regulation (EU) 830/2015 Date of compilation: Revision: 0 of Date of printing: Use this product according to good working practices. Avoid litter. Inform the competent authorities, should the product reach waterways or sewers or contaminate soil or vegetation. The Aluminum sodium oxide is not stable in environmental ph conditions (between 4-9). The main decomposition products are sodium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide. The sodium hydroxide can be dangerous to aquatic organisms in water; the aluminum may still be present in various forms depending on the chemical and physical characteristics (ph, temperature, amount of dissolved carbon). LC50: 370 mg/l/48h (Leuciscus idus) LC50: 3.69 mg/l/48h (Ceriodaphnia sp.) EC50: μg/l (Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata) Persistence and degradability: In general, the biodegradability is a process irrelevant for inorganic substances because all processes biotic and abiotic substances tend to turn but not to eliminate it Bioaccumulative potential: The data demonstrate that the product does not give rise to bioaccumulation. Aluminum is one of the main components of the lithosphere (with a rate of about 8%). Human activities contribute insignificantly to the natural presence of aluminum Mobility in soil: The mobility of the aluminum is related to its solubility and in general is greater in soils rich in organic material, for the formation of organometallic complexes, or with acid ph Results of PBT and vpvb assessment: Not PBT; not vpvb Other adverse effects: This product doesn t contain AOX 13. Disposal considerations Waste treatment methods Operate following the current Local or National Laws. The non reclaimed containers have to be disposed as the product. Consider the possibility of burning the product in a suitable inceneritor. 14. Transport information 9/50
