14 Summary Natural gas - LNG is the last abundant fossil fuel available Simplest Hydrocarbon cleanest burning but not zero CO 2 Questionable how quickly and by how much it will it grow in which sectors 1500 vessels within 10 years? less than 3% of the world fleet % Infrastructure is developing but is costly takes time Every transport sector also wants to use LNG as fuel competition Take up is mostly driven by Environment - Regulation LNG bunkering so far has mostly performed from LNG road tankers Cruise and Container sectors are likely users All four modes will be used and is quantity dependent A few bunkering terminals exist more are coming Likely that bunker vessels and later shore to ship will dominate in the long term as the preferred transfer mode
