3 Green Solutions EZ-FLO Fertigation Traditional fertilization is a water intensive process. EZ-FLO Systems eliminate the intensive use of water by continually administering very small amounts of products through irrigation systems, a process known as fertigation. The plants receive micro doses of nutrients and supplements increasing both the effectiveness of the water and enhancing nutrient absorption. The EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions are specially formulated to achieve a sustainable landscape solution while delivering premium results with lower product application rates than traditional methods. As an integral part of a landscape management program, EZ-FLO provides the ability to be sustainable without sacrificing results or increasing costs. Water Conservation EZ-FLO Systems and EZ-FLO MAXX Solutions are a key element for implementing a sound water conservation program. Water quality is continually diminishing and new sources of irrigation water can have toxic levels of salt and bicarbonates. Poor water quality harms plants while reducing the effectiveness of the irrigation system resulting in increasing water application. If another range is preferred, specify when ordering. 7 Design Choosing the system To determine the system for your application, complete the following information: 1. The approximate size of the irrigated area 2. The approximate landscape mix of turf to shrubs and beds 3. The size of the irrigation main line 4. Is the irrigation system protected by a backflow preventer 5. Number of points of connection Choosing the correct tank size 1. In table 1 below refer to the 4-6 week coverage columns to determine the tank model 2. The tank capacity recommended below is based on the size of the irrigated area and a 4-6 week refill cycle. More area can be covered with a more frequent refill schedule. Install the system connector in the irrigation main line after an approved backflow preventer and before the irrigation zone valves. 2. Connect the flexible tubing to the main line connectors and to appropriate connection on the Metering Head. Refer to the diagram below. 3. Fill the tank with the recommended amount of products and top off with water. 4. Turn on an irrigation zone and adjust the meter to the desired injection rate. EZ-FLO s patented flow process automatically adjusts to changes in water pressure and water flow. This product is designed to feed both sprinkler and drip irrigation systems for commercial, municipal, sports field, golf course and grower applications. A code compliant back flow prevention device is required for installation into potable water systems in which the installation must follow local and state plumbing codes. Unless otherwise specified, a pressure vacuum breaker is the minimum back flow prevention device required according to University of Southern California - Foundation for Cross Connection Control and Hydraulic Research. 7

HI-FLO Metering Head - can be used for both liquid and powder products. The Water In connection can be changed between inlet ports with the provided threaded unions to change from injecting liquids to injecting powders. *Injection rate capabilities are dependent on the installation design. Faster injection rates may require the installation of a control valve between the saddle venturi connections.
