26 Nitrate Nitrogen Isotope Study Proposal to TSSWCB Plum Creek is listed as concern for elevated concentrations of nitrate-nitrogen Sources are numerous, effluent dominated stream also fed by springs that come from the Leona Aquifer, known for high nitrates Study will look at isotopic signatures of nitrogen and oxygen in the nitrates. The ratios are useful for determining sources of nitrates in groundwater and surface water

On February 7, the update was provided to stakeholders to start the 21-day comment period ending Feb. 28 th, Comments will be discussed at the February 9 th quarterly partnership Meeting for approval. Publish, print, and distribute update beginning in March 30

33 New Watershed Coordinator Position The Request for Qualifications was sent out starting December 5 th, 2011 Qualifications were due by December 20, 2011 to GBRA Received 12 outstanding responses to the RFQ Responses were sent to the Selection Committee for review and ranking 33

35 Selection Process Selection Committee reviewed and ranked the responses and sent results to Debbie by January 5 th 2012 Committee met on January 10 th and selected the top 4 candidates to interview on January 27, 2012 Developed the interview questions and ranking sheet Decided to ask the candidates to develop a 5-10 minute presentation on why they are most qualified for the position 35
