LITHIUM Ion Batteries contained in equipment has passed the UN38.3 test (ST/SG/AC.10/11 Rev.5 / Amend.1&ST/SG/AC.10/11 Rev.5 / Amend.2) Lithium Ion Battery according to Section II of PI of the IATA DGR 56th Edition may be transported. The product is not subjected to dangerous goods. UN Number: 3481, Proper shipping name: Lithium Ion Batteries contained in equipment. Each package must be labeled with a Li-ion Battery handling label. Lithium-ion batteries can be treated as Non-dangerous goods under the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Special Provision 188, provided that packaging is strong and prevent the products from short-circuit. The packaging shall be adequate to avoid mechanical damage during transport, handling and stacking. The materials and pack design shall be chosen so as to prevent the development of unintentional electrical conduction, corrosion of the terminals and ingress of moisture.
