LNG Bunkering - regulatory 18 SAFER, SMARTER, GREENER
Status of internationally recognised guidance documents on LNG bunkering main focus has been on safety risk Several guidance documents for LNG Bunkering have been presented over the last years (first DNV GL, then other class societies, ISO, SGMF, IAPH etc.) All emphasize the need for a LNG measurement and reporting system to document the commercial value and quality of the fuel supplied None of the available recognised guidance documents have provided any guidance on the monetisation issue DNV GL provide guidance on the issue in the new update of our Recommended Practice for Development and operation of LNG bunkering facilities DNVGL-RP-G105 $ 19
The revised RP includes guidance on risk management, fiscal metering, the bunkering organisation as well as functional and operational requirements for securing global compatibility LNG bunkering organisation, SMS and Risk Management Fiscal metering, functional & operational requirements, safety zone 20
Guidelines and Standards G105.pdf?utm_campaign=&utm_medium= &utm_source=Eloqua&elqTrack=true 21
The RP is the first document to provide guidance on the development and implementation of a measurement system for the QUALITY and QUANTITY of LNG for bunkering operations The measurement system and methodology provided in the RP ensure billing transparency, fitness for purpose and enhance safety when using LNG as a fuel. 22
