1 Anti-Freeze 350 Product Description Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 is an ALL YEAR ROUND automotive cooling system treatment, designed to provide complete cooling system protection. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 is recommended for use in all Holden vehicles, particularly V6 Commodores as well as the Toyota Lexcen. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 meets GMHA Spec HN This coolant must be maintained at a concentration of 50% to ensure adequate corrosion protection. Product Application All Holden vehicles, particularly V6 Comodores, as well as Toyota Lexcen. Recommended at 50% (1:1) concentration for cooling systems. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 is compatible with materials normally used in automotive cooling systems which include rubber hoses, gaskets, rubber seals and plastic components. Performance Specifications Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 meets or exceeds the following standards: ASTM D3306 General Motors 6043M ASTM D4656 (prediluted coolants) General Motors 1825M SAE J1034 General Motors 1899M AS General Motors Holden HN 2043 BS 6580 Mazda MES MN 121AC-FA04 JIS K2234 FORD ESE M97B44-A (Automotive) How to Use Drain and flush previous fluid according to vehicle manufacturer s instructions. For the best results set heater controls to HEAT whilst this is carried out.

2 To remove all traces of old fluid, flush the system with clean water. Remove drain plug or bottom radiator hose as appropriate. Refer to owners manual for volume of the engine coolant system. Add at least ½ (50%) of that volume of Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 to the cooling system. Top-up the engine cooling system with soft or demineralising water. This mixture will provide effective corrosion protection, freezing protection to -34 o C and raise the boiling point by approximately 9 o C. Start and run engine for 5 minutes to circulate fluid. Check for leaks and top-up system with clean water if required. For maximum system protection, replace Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 every 24 months. Replace more frequently if manufacturer recommends shorter intervals. Caution: Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 is a concentrated product and should only be used if diluted with water. Do not use at a greater concentration than 65% Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 in water as overheating may occur. When future top-up of the system is necessary add only Castrol Anti- Freeze 350 and water mixture at the recommended ratio 50%, 1:1 Castrol Anti-Freeze 350: Is compatible with Fleetguard s DCA 4 and Compleat coolant. With the exception of DCA 4 or Compleat, must not be mixed with any other antifreezes or corrosion inhibitors because of potential incompatibility problems. Is NOT compatible with either Castrol Anti-Freeze/Anti-Boil or Castrol Anti-Freeze Type-P. 3 Castrol Anti-freeze 350 will soften some types of painted finishes. In the event of spillage, wash off with water immediately. Product Features & Benefits Meets GMHA SPEC HN 2043, therefore suitable for use in all Holden vehicles, particularly V6 Commodore as well as the Toyota Lexcen. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 combines the benefits of an effective corrosion inhibitor system with the fluid modifying properties of a glycol base. These combine to provide a performance which a corrosion inhibitor alone cannot provide. Improved engine corrosion protection helping to resist the formation of rust while protecting zinc coated surfaces and components. The glycol base in a 50% made up solution of Castrol Anti- Freeze 350 modifies the fluid characteristics of the coolant, minimizing cavitation in water pumps, extending life and improving pump performance at high speeds and temperatures. A powerful corrosion inhibitor effectively passivates aluminium surfaces to minimise corrosion. The glycol base of the coolant minimizes cavitation erosion, particularly on aluminium hot spots, eg, behind exhaust ports in aluminium cylinder heads. Excellent COLD weather protection. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 reduces the real risk of coolant freezing solid in the engine cooling system and severely damaging engines and/or radiators. Excellent HOT weather protection. Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 helps prevent the risk of the radiator coolant boiling, leading to coolant loss and possible engine damage. Minimising cavitation and effectively passivating metal surfaces helps ensure long and efficient engine life with minimum repairs.

Health, Safety & Environment Castrol Anti-Freeze 350 is considered hazardous according to Worksafe. In line with safe handling practices, it is recommended that the handling instructions outlined in the Castrol Material Safety Data sheet be followed. First Aid: If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. In Australia phone ; in New Zealand phone Risk: Harmful if swallowed. Avoid eye and repeated or prolonged skin contact. Avoid breathing vapour. Avoid contact with foodstuffs. Keep containers closed when not in use. Store away from oxidisng agents. Store in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Do not re-use the container unless thoroughly decontaminated. Used coolant may be harmful to the environment. Refer to local authority for disposal method. Swallowed: If swallowed rinse mouth with water. Give plenty of water to drink, if vomiting occurs give further water. Seek medical assistance immediately. Eyes: If in eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor. Skin: Wash contaminated skin. If irritation occurs seek medical advice.

6 For fire: Use water jets, water fog, foam, dry agent. Avoid breathing products of combustion. For spills: Slippery when wet. Wear protective equipment. Absorb with sand or soil. Collect and seal in properly labeled drums. Refer to State Land Waste Management Authority for disposal. Spillage Small: Soak up using an inert mineral adsorbent such as Castrol MOP Organic and dispose of in the appropriate manner. Large: Corrective action usually dictated by individual company safety procedures. Immediate containment and subsequent removal is essential. Disposal: Refer to local Waste Disposal Authority for legal requirements. Product Removal Bare Metal Surfaces: Wash off with water. Hand Cleaning: Other Surfaces: Wash off with water. Wash off with water. Do not attempt to wipe off painted surfaces as damage to paint work may result as glycol can soften paint work.
