Pictured on this spread is an Ambient System designed to allow easy movement of large parts and overhead cranes. This application represents a total-plant solution that integrates CONSERVE ENERGY, SAVE MONEY Many facilities simply exhaust dirty air outside which drives heating bills sky high during winter months. With a Push-Pull System, the air is returned to the plant after being cleaned thus eliminating inside hoods and ducting. Dirty plant air is drawn through unique and highly effective filtration units and returned to the plant, thus eliminating a significant loss of energy that is common when air is just exhausted outside the plant. the full complement of engineering, design, and manufacturing capabilities available from RoboVent. Push-Pull Systems represent a total-plant solution that integrates a full complement of engineering, design and manufacturing capabilities available from RoboVent. When source capture isn t possible due to large parts or overhead cranes, the Push-Pull System can re-circulate the air in the entire plant without conflicting with these obstructions. HELPING THE ENVIRONMENT The days when dirty weld smoke were simply exhausted into the atmosphere with little thought to the consequences are long gone. In fact, the EPA has mandated new rules regarding the dispersal of these potentially dangerous fumes and smoke. In response RoboVent has developed two powerful, total-plant solutions that satisfy government regulations and create a safer environment. Furthermore, these systems filter and recirculate clean air to avoid the costly energy bills associated with replacing the warm air that many systems exhaust from a building. 6 ROBOVENT S VORTEX SYSTEM The Vortex System is based on a proprietary design that creates a circulating airflow in a plant to effectively capture and filter particulates. Pure, clean air is then re-introduced to the plant in a seamless process. The system utilizes a unique mechanism consisting of 8 to 12 nozzles that can be adjusted directionally to maximize the efficiency at which the air is cleaned. WHY THE VORTEX SYSTEM IS AN EXCELLENT CHOICE There are many benefits to installing a Vortex system in your facility: Will not interfere with overhead cranes or other obstructions that cause trouble for other ventilation systems. No ductwork is required which lowers installation cost and improves site lines and visual appeal. Reduces collector noise levels by decreasing static pressure. TYPICAL VORTEX SYSTEM: The system is engineered to create a plant-wide environmental vortex that turns the air at a consistent and steady rate. It is especially effective in cases where source capture of smoke or dust isn t possible due to large or unusual manufacturing operations, or when overhead cranes and ceiling space is limited. The chart on the right shows the change in air quality over a 20 minute period while the RoboVent system was running during production. If production was not running, the air quality would enter the "Clean Air Zone" in less than 8 minutes. NORMAL OPERATION WITH VENTILATION SYSTEM IN 20 MINUTES AFTER VENTILATION SYSTEM WAS TURNED ON. 2.1 mg/m3 These RoboVent systems were turned off for 40 minutes during normal operation. The air measured 2.1 mg/m mg/m3 Normal operation with a RoboVent system after 20 minutes. The air measured.05 mg/m3 while production was running.
