4 BREATHE DEEP Cormetech s SCR catalyst is a highly efficient, cost-effective solution for NOx reduction. Customized for each flue gas application, catalysts are designed for a wide range of firing fuels including coal, natural gas, oil and process gas streams. The honeycomb structure and cell pitch is selected for each application following an engineered analysis of system performance requirements. Once designed and manufactured, the catalyst elements are assembled in steel frame modules with arrangement flexibility that accommodates the orientation and size of your SCR system reactor. The catalyst composition is designed to perform within a temperature range that applies to the specific application, delivering a long lasting catalyst system that maximizes NOx reduction. 5 Flexible catalyst designs for coal, oil and gas applications The Coal-Fired Application Our proven experience and ability to manufacture catalysts unique to coal-fired applications ensures long life performance. With a broad range of cell pitch products, our catalysts are ideal for the variety of flue gas particulate characteristics, accommodating both low and high dust applications for a variety of coal types. In addition, catalyst composition is designed to minimize deactivation caused by poisons such as gaseous arsenic from bituminous coals and calcium oxide deposition from Powder River Basin coals. Depending on flue gas properties, the temperature range for coal-fired applications is typically 600 F 800 F. Fuel impact analysis and strategic catalyst management options are offered to maximize catalyst performance at the lowest long-term cost. Although most coal-fired SCR systems are constructed with standardized module dimensions, modules can be customized to nearly unlimited configurations. The integrated design of the SCR catalyst and its module frame maximizes your NOx reduction system and balance of plant operations.
