15 DPPEA is in the development phase of RE3, a social marketing based recycling campaign geared at the 20-something recycler. With posters, television commercials, cinema ads, a 4-minute Flash film, and an interactive website, RE3 will aid NC local governments in their waste reduction participation efforts. Kickoff events will be held during the summer of 2005 and will include activities at various street festivals across the state as well as at least five workshops for environmental educators and recycling coordinators to collect RE3 materials and learn outreach techniques.
