1 Rebate Application for Indoor, n-potable Rainwater Harvesting Systems * Required Project Description Ecology Action is implementing a Proposition 84 Stormwater Planning and Monitoring Grant from the State Water Resources Control Board, the Monterey Bay Regional Low Impact Development and Incentives Program. The grant provides rebates of up to $10,000 to permit and construct the first indoor, non-potable rainwater harvesting systems in the Monterey Bay area that comply with the 2013 California Uniform Plumbing Code Chapter 17. Allowed indoor, non-potable uses of harvested rainwater from roof surfaces include toilet and urinal flushing and clothes washing. Residential, public, and commercial property owners are encouraged to apply for grant rebate funds. Applications must be submitted electronically at: Rainwater harvesting systems installed with grant rebate funds will participate in a water quality and water use monitoring program. The goals of the monitoring program are to determine the most cost-effective treatment options for meeting water quality standards for indoor, non-potable rainwater harvesting systems and to evaluate the potential of indoor, non-potable rainwater harvesting systems to reduce potable water demand from surface and groundwater resources. Questions about the indoor, non-potable rainwater harvesting rebate program can be directed to Sherry Lee Bryan, (831) , sbryan@ecoact.org Funding for this project has been provided in full or in part through an agreement with the State Water Resources Control Board. 1 of 15
