leinfelder Fauna Spotter Catcher Kleinfelder has a large team of accredited, highly competent, and experienced personnel trained to meet construction milestones and manage animal welfare. Architects. Engineers. Scientists Extraordinary clients deserve the right solutions. Our insightful architects, engineers, and scientists deliver smart, sustainable outcomes to the world s most complex infrastructure challenges. Queensland Curtis LNG Kleinfelder has been engaged to provide 14 full-time fauna spotter catchers on a 14-day rotating shift basis for the QGC LNG project. Our association with Kleinfelder began in September 2013 via one of our principal contractors, Corbet s Timber and Haulage. Since that time, Kleinfelder has excelled at providing a quality service while complying with our strict environmental policies and requirements, says QGC s Construction Superintendent (Drilling Operations) Brad Drummond. 2

Ecology Being an FPA BPAD-A Certified Business means that Kleinfelder has the expertise to design and incorporate alternate building solutions for developments that do not meet the minimum Planning for Bushfire Protection Guidelines and Australian Standard AS 3959 Construction of Buildings in bushfire-prone areas. SANTOS PRE-CLEARING FLORA SURVEYS Kleinfelder provided comprehensive ecological surveys, including high-quality spatial data and reports detailing the locations of ecological constraints across proposed development areas. The GIS data and reports delivered as a result of this work have been used to inform the planning, design, and impact assessment phases of proposed gas pipeline and power line easements. Bushfire GAS STORAGE FACILITY Kleinfelder conducted a suite of services for the approval of the AGL Gas Storage Facility, including ecology, management plans, biodiversity offsets, and bushfire risk assessment. The bushfire assessment determined the radiant heat levels and flame lengths the facility would be exposed to during a bushfire event and subsequently recommended appropriate asset protection zones and management actions. 4

Land Management and Rehabilitation Kleinfelder s planning and permitting team guides clients through the planning process by establishing the most suitable and efficient planning approval pathway. We understand the relevant legislation and are able to speak to approval authorities in their language. Planning and Permitting METGASCO GAS EXPLORATIONS Kleinfelder has long-standing relationship with Metgasco in gaining approvals for drilling exploration activities, for both non-conventional and coal seam gas targets. Kleinfelder has assisted in the management of liabilities (such as water storage dams) through innovative approaches that reduced timeframes and limited costs. COLONGRA LATERAL PIPELINE Kleinfelder was engaged by Jemena as project ecologists for the Colongra Lateral Pipeline Development in Wyee, New South Wales. The project involved the construction of 9 km of pipeline comprised of 4 km of DN250mm diameter feeder pipeline and 5 km of DN1050mm storage pipeline. Kleinfelder provided rehabilitation services from the commencement of the project for a period of three years, including topsoil management, seed collection, weed control, tube stock planting, seed spreading, and brushmatting. 6

Kleinfelder has worked with numerous coal, gas, and metalliferous exploration companies in assisting with their obligations for protection of cultural heritage under the relevant legislation. This has resulted in simple, practical outcomes and, where needed, has included liaising with Native Title Groups and the local Aboriginal community to establish practical working relationships. We have provided solutions for large clients such as Glencore, Metgasco, Centennial Coal, and Macquarie Generation. Within our Contaminated Land Services team, our skilled professionals have the geologic and engineering experience needed to manage a diverse range of project sizes and complexities. We provide solutions that include delineation and assessment, hydrogeologic and remedial engineering studies, and remediation and excavation operation and design, as well as complex chemical injection applications. Cultural Heritage Contaminated Land Management Former Refinery Kleinfelder provides archaeological and Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment services to a wide range of clients. We deliver government heritage impact permits and approvals, as well as intelligent and solution-based risk management advice. 8 Kleinfelder currently manages the assessment and remediation of a 160-hectacre former refinery in South Australia. The project scope includes the full delineation of multiple soil areas and the vertical and horizontal assessment of multiple water-bearing zones. This high-profile project for a global oil and gas company requires the coordination and mobilization of resources across our worldwide offices.

Oil and Gas We have provided our engineering services for well field development, pipelines, compressor stations, metering stations, storage facilities, gas treatment facilities, refineries, and retail facilities. As a global provider of multi-faceted architecture, engineering, and science services, Kleinfelder works with oil and gas clients on all types of upstream, midstream, and downstream projects. We currently operate in or near all of the major oil and gas plays both conventional and unconventional. Our solutions support every phase of a project, helping clients reduce time, cost, and risk, while improving the efficiency of their processes and operations. YANKEE GAS LNG FACILITY Kleinfelder collaborated with Yankee Gas from concept to commissioning of a new LNG facility. The team successfully located the project in a residential neighborhood by applying in-house LNG expertise to interpret relevant codes. Kleinfelder helped control costs, ensure a competitive bidding process, and manage a tight schedule. 10

Natural Gas Pipeline Engineering From pipeline design and corrosion assessments to integrity management, our team provides a single-source solution to clients, regardless of the complexity of the pipeline Horizontal Directional Drilling Design Trenchless technologies are highly useful for installing new piping systems, repairing existing pipelines, and renewing existing infrastructure. Kleinfelder provides expertise and insight into conventional open excavation projects, with an eye towards using trenchless technologies thereby minimizing surface disruptions, reducing construction time, lowering construction costs, and alleviating permitting concerns. concern helping operators consolidate and effectively address their day-to-day challenges. antero west union pipeline The Antero West Union Pipeline project is located in Doddridge County, West Virginia. Kleinfelder designed the additional pipeline infrastructure needed to connect multiple natural gas wells in the south to a compressor facility at the north end of the line, traversing a total of 5.25 miles. Merrimack River Crossing Kleinfelder designed and oversaw the horizontal directional drilling of a major river crossing. This included horizontal direction drilling to install a 20-inch diameter fusible PVC pipe; variable subsurface conditions, such as bedrock; surface topography and features that minimized feasible alignment options; and the active railroad crossing. 12

Kleinfelder s experience in pipeline integrity management, Spectra Energy Metering Station proactive communication, and sophisticated modeling Kleinfelder was responsible for the design of a new metering software resulted in successful mitigation plans for our structural engineering services. The project also involved installation projects. Using an advanced software program and streamlined processes, Kleinfelder decreases turnaround time for analysis. High Voltage AC/DC Interference station, which included process/mechanical, electrical, civil, and of launchers and receivers to comply with the Department of Energy Part 192 pipeline integrity management ruling. Substation Design Kleinfelder has natural gas and electric utility design professionals with combined transmission and distribution experience. We also have skills in the design and construction of meter and regulator stations, compressor stations, and liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, as well as electrical transmission lines and substations. Overland Pass Pipeline The Overland Pass Pipeline is a 760-mile natural gas liquids (NGLs) pipeline extending from Wyoming to Kansas (U.S.). Kleinfelder was contracted to perform an alternating current interference investigation and modeling for this corridor. In order to provide a successful solution, Kleinfelder conducted frequent client meetings and utilized the latest modeling technology in SES software. 14
