THE FLOATING TERMINAL POSITIONING OF THE FSRU TOSCANA OFFSHORE FLOATING TERMINAL The Toscana offshore regasification plant comprises an LNG carrier that has been suitably modified and is permanently anchored about 22 km offshore between Livorno and Pisa. The gas will be transferred onshore through a 36 km long pipeline, (29 km at sea, 5 km in the floodway and 2 km on dry land). The gas pipeline will be completely buried at a minimum depth of 2 metres. Page 4

OBJECTIVE THE «LNG» PROJECT FOR THE PORT OF LIVORNO Supporting, through using European TEN-T cofinancing resources and public and private investments, the industrial development and the actual application of technological and infrastructural solutions for the provision and the distribution of LNG in the port industry as alternative fuel for shipping, goods handling, terminal activities and road transport. REQUIREMENTS Integration and upwards scalability of each initiative and project adopted: short term and/or less complex solutions must guarantee the possibility of their integration and usability also in the framework of long term or higher complexity solutions. BACKGROUND GREENCRANES project: Consumption analysis of Port Container Terminals; Analysis of Eco-Efficient alternatives; Development of prototypes of dual fuel Diesel/LNG Reachstacker (Port of Livorno) and Termnal Tractors (Port of Valencia) SEATERMINALS project (TEN-T Annual Call 2013, Priority 2 Decarbonisation or reduction of environmental costs ): Exploitation of the solutions developed in the previous project; Development of a Dual Fuel RTG; Adoption of a LNG Mobile Refueling Unit. Italian national level proposal under the Multi Annual C.E.F. call. Page 7

THE «LNG» PROJECT FOR THE PORT OF LIVORNO STEP 0 STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 LNG Mobile Refueling Unit Set up of a LNG Onshore storage and first level distribution facility 1st Upgrade of the Onshore Storage and Distribution facility 2nd Upgrade of the Onshore Storage and Distribution facility LNG Bunkering Vessel AS PART OF THE WIDER NATIONAL «LNG» PROJECT Page 8

STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 SETUP OF A LNG STORAGE AND FIRST LEVEL DISTRIBUTION FACILITY Onshore, quayside modular storage facility Upgradable storage capacity upon growing needs LNG Refueling of the Mobile Refueling Unit (STEP 0) LNG distribution for heavy vehicles (reachstackers, tractors, trucks) Expected Users: Port Terminals and, through using the Mobile Refueling Unit, logistics companies (port, freight villages and more ) with part of their heavy vehicles fleet fueled with LNG. Page 9

STEP 1 + STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 1 st UPGRADE OF THE ONSHORE STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION FACILITY Upgrading of the STEP 1 facility storage capacity for addressing the needs of refueling LNG tugs and/or bunker vessels Expected Users: STEP 1 users + operators of tug and/or bunkering services with part of their vessels fleet fueled with LNG. Page 10

STEP 1 + STEP 2 + STEP 3 STEP 4 2 nd UPGRADE OF THE ONSHORE STORAGE AND DISTRIBUTION FACILITY Upgrading of the STEP 2 facility storage capacity for addressing the refueling needs of LNG fueled ferries Expected Users: STEP 2 users + shipping companies operating regular ferry services with part of their vessels fleet fueled with LNG. Page 11

STEP 1 + STEP 2 + STEP 3 + STEP 4 LNG BUNKERING VESSEL - Building of a new vessel or refitting of an existing one for : Ship-to-ship bunkering of LNG fueled ships Shuttle between the OLT regasification terminal and the onshore storage facility (STEP 1-3) for LNG provisioning LNG transportation and distribution towards other destinations (i.e. other Northern Tyrrhenian ports, island, coastal industrial districts) Expected Users: STEP 3 users + shipping companies + other ports LNG storage facilities + coastal industrial districts.
