1 CRA Energy Efficiency s Transition The New Jersey Utilities have implemented a portfolio of demand side management programs since 1982 approved under various Board Orders. These programs either 1) map directly as a new CRA program approved in the Board s CRA Order, 2) continue as activities under approved new programs, or 3) represent legacy program commitments with continuing costs not related to the new programs. A legacy program is a former core program that is closed to new participation, but which continues to incur costs due to continued servicing of customer accounts. These costs are recoverable through the SBC but are not part of the CRA funding for new programs. The recording of costs for approved new programs will begin with full implementation by May 9, s under each company s plan prior to the approval of the CRA programs will continue to be open to new participation until the close of business on May 8, For those programs that are being discontinued, the program will cease to be offered at the close of business on May 8, Customers who have applied for program services and who have not been served will be accommodated after May 8. The Customer Sited Renewable Energy will begin on April 9, 2001 and the new statewide energy efficiency programs will start on May 9, The following tables, one for each company, show the mapping and status of the existing programs to the new approved programs.
