CAS-No EC Number EU Classification 1,3-Butadiene, homopolymer NE Regulatory CAS Notes: REACH Registration Number(s): (1,3 butadiene) 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Eye Contact For fumes generated during high heat procedures: For irritation, flush eyes with copious amounts of water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Skin Contact Wash with soap and water. Inhalation For fumes generated during high heat procedures: If overcome by exposure, remove victim to fresh air. Ingestion Seek immediate medical attention. 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES --- EXTINGUISHING MEDIA --- Water, all purpose (ABC) dry chemical, CO2, foam --- SPECIAL INTERVENTION METHODS --- During emergency conditions, overexposure to thermal decomposition products may cause a health hazard. An approved, self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn. --- SPECIAL EXPOSURE HAZARDS --- Not easily ignited. However, when ignited, and particularly in bulk storage, a hot and difficult to control fire may develop. This material emits acrid smoke and fumes when burning. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ---AFTER SPILLAGE/LEAKAGE --- (methods for cleaning up) Wear personal protective equipment. Prevent spill from entering sanitary sewers and waterways. Place in closed container for recycle or disposal. 7. HANDLING and STORAGE --- PRECAUTIONS --- Keep away from excessive heat and open flame. --- HANDLING --- Avoid eye contact. Avoid skin contact. Avoid inhalation. --- STORAGE --- Store in a cool dry place away from excessive heat or open flame. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Page 2 of 5

3 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION --- VENTILATION PROTECTION --- When this material is heated, provide enough fresh air and/or exhaust to remove the hot processing vapors from the work area. Observe the Occupational Exposure Limit of 3 mg/m3 (Threshold Limit Value - 8 hour time weighted average) for insoluble respirable particulates, not otherwise classified. --- RESPIRATION PROTECTION --- Under normal conditions of use, respiratory protection should not be required. --- SKIN PROTECTION --- Employees who have prolonged contact with this material should practice good personal hygiene by frequent washing of hands and arms with soap and water. --- EYE PROTECTION --- Safety glasses --- PROTECTIVE GLOVES --- Heavy cotton or impervious if practical. --- OTHER PROTECTION --- Practice good personal hygiene. 9.
