Godfrey Hirst Carpets is proud to introduce the eco+ collection, a range of synthetic carpets that have less impact on the environment. Made from Triexta, a manmade carpet fibre which is environmentally certified under the (ACCS) Australian Carpet Classification Scheme. The eco+ Triexta carpet collection contains DuPont Sorona polymer made from 37% renewably sourced natural corn sugar, not petrochemicals like many other synthetic carpet fibres. Greenhouse gas emissions from the production of Sorona are 63% lower compared to the production of an equal amount of nylon 6 (CISO standard 14040)*.
