3 General Objetive To disseminate technological breakthroughs to achieve smart electrical systems in the region, improving the level of electricity losses, achieving greater participation of renewable energy and its role in strengthening regional integration processes. The Seminar is aimed at Decision makers in government agencies, researchers, officials from ministries and departments of energy, agriculture, environment and industry; experts from international organizations, private sector representatives, investors, representatives of organizations that have technology and Specific Objetive To provide a general overview of the Latin American and the Caribbean situation to main stakeholders of the regional energy sector, taking into consideration the goals set both, by SE4All as well as by the Sustainable Development Objective #7 stating the current situation and identifying the main challenges to achieve the goals by equipment; representatives of research institutes and universities interested on smart grids. To recognize the experiences of technological innovation that have impacted on electrical systems in the region and how they have contributed to the integration processes. To understand the main technological means and undertakings applied in the countries to achieve a sustainable energy transition. To analyze investment needs and regulatory frameworks for the development of energy markets towards greater electrical integration.
