3 1. Greeting We, KME Co., Ltd. is the special company for total disposal of Environmental Wastes. Human have discharged wastes and pollutants without awareness of crisis for environmental problems on believing self-cleansing power of the Earth. Therefore, various environmental problems were risen in development & life of human, and begin to feel crisis situation. So the need to solve the problems through systematic disposal of wastes is increasing gradually. Also rising oil prices in global is typical phenomenon of the energy trouble by awareness of crisis about depletion of resource, and the whole world is hotly developing with large interest in newborn & recycled energy according as CER (Certified Emission Reduction) by various Climatic Change Convention relative with global warming. KME Co., Ltd. is playing a leading role in Environmental Plant in Korea through a lot of performances as environment-friendly company, and we shall prevent various environmental problems beforehand by establishing countermeasures for total disposal of wastes. 5 3. M.T + R.D.F Outline 3-1. Outline of M.T M.T (Mechanical Treatment), is the process to separate entered wastes into the wastes to be landfill and recyclable wastes or materials for Energy Recovery, also the process to arrange biological treatment which is the post-process. It has the concept of Pre-Treatment because this process is done front stage, in case of using such treatment process with Facility of Combustion/Generation Characteristic of M.T The process of M.T is composed mainly of shredding & size separating of entered wastes, separating of metals, separating of combustibles, and separating of other harmful materials. The Combustibles separated and extracted in the process of Mechanical Treatment is composed mainly of Plastic, Paper and Wood and have good combustible efficiency by high caloric value when incinerating. Also in case of making certain size, it is possible to make good use of Refuse Derived Fuel for Cement Plant or commercial/industrial purpose as the fuel which has excellent caloric value. 5

Expected Effect of M.T and R.D.F Plant Contribute to building for the system of sustainable resource circulated wastes management Maximization of Energy Recovery (RDF Generation) and Recycling of worth resources from Garbage bag. Cut off all the source of pollution by pre-treatment of biodegradable substance caused stench, and contribute to the improvement of environment in landfill site. The amount for combustion decreased about 50% because 50% of entered wastes is recovered in the process of pre-treatment. Therefore it is possible to contribute to not only the reduction of investments/operating costs for incineration but also the decrease of emission for air pollutants. It is effective in extending of life time for existing landfill site and restraining of demand for new landfill site by minimizing of the amount of landfill (the effect of life time extending is 2.5~13.0 times) In case of landfill for only non-reactivity substance, it is possible to use the site as soon as completion of landfill. And even though some reactivity substance is contained, the stabilization is completed much earlier. Therefore it is possible to maximize the using efficiency of the land by minimizing of the site for landfill. 8

34 Technical Introduction PACKED TOWER Features Before emission of waste gas, it uses cleaning method by the cleaning material, which is cooling the gas temperature from 191 to 60 and simultaneously let the suction water meet the waste gas, and then eliminates the acidity gas. It has high eliminate efficiency and can treat the water particle even though the gas material also Facility Function - It uses the capturing and removal method by gas suction principle, which physically melts the pollution material of the gas into the absorbing liquid by making the handling gas meet the specific liquid or absorbs it by chemical reaction. - It is designed to fully react between NaOH and the harmful acid gas, therefore, eliminate the dust and the harmful acid gas.
