ACTIVATE AND PRE-ASSESS STUDENT PRIOR KNOWLEDGE: Pre-Assessment f Prir Knwledge: On the day befre the lessn, explain t the students, We are ging t learn abut the effects f pllutin n animals. Distribute the pre-assessment handut (see attachment) and allw students time t write dwn their respnses. The infrmatin gathered frm the pre-assessment as well as teacher knwledge f students will allw teacher t grup the students int ne f three grups: Grup A, B, and C. Activatin f Prir Knwledge: On the day f the lessn, pass ut the pre-assessment handuts that students cmpleted during the prir class perid. Explain t the students that they will be viewing a vide pertaining t the effects f pllutin n animals and that they may use a different clr t edit their pre-assessment handut as desired. E. PROVIDE FOR NEW KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION: Students will be placed in ne f three grups: A (high), B (middle), r C (lw). They will use texts prvided and/r visit interactive cmputer websites t research the effects f pllutin n animals and their habitats. T dcument what they have researched, each student will fill in their assigned graphic rganizer nting the effects f pllutin n animals and their habitats. Students will chse ne f the fllwing prjects: Jurnal Entry: Students will write a jurnal entry detailing their research abut the effects f pllutin n animals and their habitats with a minimum f 3 paragraphs.
